Page: 1 | 2 - JulietI just a similar message from the same person. It was about an IQ test. I'm not sure if I've been charged since I have unlimited text.
- roger smithdid not recieve clear instructions that a charge would be made to my cell phone. do not want to do business with them. canceled service within ten minutes after they snuck in and charged me. would like a refund.
- austinstaceThe company goes by the name of Solow.com. They appeared on my Verizon bill for $9.99 as Premium Text Message. I never agreed to be billed on my Verizon bill for anything and am very careful about the "fine print". Googling for Solow.com results in a list of tirades by other cell customers duped by this company.
- Caller: Solow.com
- AttorneyGaines| 1 replyI got the same $9.99 charge from a company that Verizon identified as "Dwnlow.com". It is clear they do not tell you they intend to charge you for anything. I had to send the word "Stop" to their text short code 76363. When I did, I received a text back they had removed me from their 'subscription'. I will have to watch my bill to see if they really did or not. Verizon claims that although they collect money for these people, they can't help with the rip off. Call your cell phone supplier, get the details of who is making the charge and demand to know how to stop it. It appears the cell company will have a set of instructions on how to stop it. I think this is a violation of the consumer protection act, and may well make a point out of it. Hard to say with so little money on the charges, but I consider it a rip off, with Verizon keeping its head in the sand to avoid responsibiltiy or morality on the problem.
- Rick replies to AttorneyGainesThese guys are telling the truth!! I just got off the phone with my carrier because I was charge by this same company and had no idea who they were. I called the number and the guy was rude, he lied and talked over me the whole time I was trying to explain to him about my bill. He wanted me to fax the bill to see if I was lying and I told him that I wasn't going to fax anything. He told me I was scamming him that's why I won't fax my phone bill. How else could I get this number? He couldn't answer that and said if I didn't fax my bill they would keep charging me. Wow, this guy was a piece of work and sounded like he was talking to me in a bathroom stall. Be careful people and memorize this number as well as this text message: Mobile Messenger 76363 call (877) 373-6363. T-Mobile customer service rep said they get these calls all the time, he cancelled it for me and said I wouldn't be getting these charges anymore and credited my account 40.95 All I can say is if you called and cancelled, keep an eye out on your bill. My sister replied to the text message to cancel and she has still been getting charged.
- Kimberly AshlandRick, I did the same thing. As a matter of fact I just got off the phone with this guy and he sounded like he was talking to me in a bathroom stall. He told me I was lying and wouldn't let me talk to explain what was on my bill. He told me I was scamming him and wanted to see proof, then hung up in my face. I called back again and asked him this is not good customer service and for him to calm down and listen to what I have to say. He continued to lie and say it was not his company that was charging me and like you Rick, I asked him how do u think I got this number? He hung up in my face and everytime I called back he would hang up again. So I called Tmobile and they took care of everything and credited my account 9.99. Be careful of the surveys you fill out online because I believe that's how they got me.
- Erin Lewis9.99 from same number don't even know how it got there.

- BdriverI just got off the phone with Verizon. I've been a 10 year customer and they know my history and how I use my phones.
When I talked with the account rep this morning he said that there are solutions.
You can get free "Premium Message Block" on all of your Verizon lines by asking for it.
The Verizon Rep said that anyone can sign you up by just mis keying a cell phone number (if it happens to be your number).
Verizon has flagged my account to review it for these messages and charges.
Call your provider and get "Premium Message Block" on your lines ASAP!- Call type: Text message

All I know is that I want my money back. Does anybody know how do I go about getting a refund? THere are too many scams in this world.
