I called this number in a posting on craigslist and its "American Standard" and they do rent to own properties.  She did not want to speak with me since I was questioning her about the property and I told her I was a realtor.  She stated they dont work with realtors and hung up.

I JUST CALLED THIS NUMBER IN REGARDS TO A CRAIGSLIST AD AND WHEN I TOLD THE REP I DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY NOW HE JUST HUNG UP I DIDNT EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO TELL HIM I WOULD HAVE THE MONEY NEXT WEEK!

This firm allegedly did business as Anchor House Financial among other names. They place ads in craigslists worldwide for "rent to own" properties, with no addresses or specifics, just their phone number. When you call, they ask for a fee of $199 upfront for a list of "preforeclosed" properties (information that can be obtained for free elsewhere). If you don't give them your credit card number, they get quite angry.

American Standard (not to be confused with the toilet manufacturer - though they could be confused with what is deposited in toilets), like its predecessor Anchor House Financial, received "F" ratings from the Better Business Bureau.
