the number showed up on a bank statement... they took 12.99 out of my account without consent...

My wife sent me a text message and asked me if I had ordered Consumer Reports. I texted her back no. She texted me back and said that they had taken $14.50 out of our account. The message on our bak statement said as follows: TWX 6J3W CONSMR RPTS. 877-417-3309 I told her to call the bank and cancel that charge. Hope no one else gets sammed like this!!!

This charge just showed up on my bank statement "TWX*UPK631*COOKING 877-417-3309 NYUS" for $12 not sure what it is considering that I don't even read magazines, but going to call the bank and get it removed.

I got two charges on my bank account. One for $12 and the second for $58.

I just found 3 charges by the number...for Time Mag, Cooking, and People Mag...and I dont even buy magazines.

this place took money out of my account for 3 seperate items without my approval or consent. I beleive this is because of a 3 month trial I was recieving from books a million.

same thing happened to me. I am calling books a million to discuss it with them, it is the only thing I can think of that happened, a free three month trial and now a charge shows us for the magazine.  horse [***] if you ask me, if it has to do with BAM i will never do business with them again.

the same thing happened to me after i purchased a book from BAM ... when they asked me to subscribe i told them no ... but i guess at BAM no means yes

I just checked my account and found two charges - $58.50 and $19.50. Entertainment Weekly and People.

loehmanns scammed me and gave our account to this twx and they charged us 88.50 after a 3 month free trail. this is [***]. what right do they have to share our credit info

This is a magazine scam that BAM apparently promotes.  They charged me for three magazines that I never ordered.  I am very pissed!! I think BAM needs to know what they are promoting.

I had the same thing happen.  BAM offered promotion for free 2 months. I requested 3 magazines but was charged for 4 different ones. I called the number and was able to cancel 3 of the 4.

IF you call ... select cancel options provide magazine title. THEN ... say NO! to following options for that magazine. Other wise they will keep ur money and just "cancel" future orders.

Jon is right. You can cancel the charges and get a full refund by calling the number he has listed.. HOWEVER- they tried to get me to continue service and keep my money by asking me several questions, speaking very quickly and unclear. Do NOT answer "yes" or "no" as their questions are unclear and deceiving - just say, "I want to cancel my subscription." .. This company is a SCAM and gets your information from a free service provided by companies such as Borders. They offer a free subscription for a month and then you charged without your consent. DO NOT let them take advantage of you as they did me. They tried to charge me on THREE separate occasions. Report them to your bank, as well. Hope this helps!

I found 2 separate charges on my account, I canceled my CC thinking it was stolen, thanks for all the valuable info.

We had 2 charges from CHKCARD TWX 877 NYUS on our bank statement.  One for $29, one $32. Thanks for the number to call, there was nothing on the bank.  It helped!  They had us unknowingly subscribed to 3 magazines, but I guess they hadn't charged the 3rd one yet.  They cancelled and refunded easily.
