They called wanting to know the whereabouts of my ex wife!  The message they left was:
"this message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for (my ex's name)  Dial "0" now to speak with a representative or call 8774283983.  It is important that we speak with you in regards to their whereabouts.  If we cannot verify this information through you, the law allows us to contact all references on file.  If you are not able to provide any information please contact us regardless to update our records at 877-428-3983.  Thank you"

They called my phone wanting to know the whereabouts of some person. I don't know anyone by that name but it's interesting they want to know information on people. Isn't that an invasion of people privacy rights? By calling other people trying to find another person? I would think its illegal. Then the b.s. Of the law allows them to collect all references in file? I want to know who these people are? And is what they are asking for even legal?

This number called a family member about me.  He didn't answer and rather than calling them back, he just called me... I called both numbers back and it answers BRG.  Search BRG on the internet - this is a scam!!  They want to "collect a debt" in the form of prepaid credit cards and other suspucious avenues.

Called me yesterday and today about location and tracing efforts for my wife's ex-husband's current wife (if you can follow that train of thought). Sounded like a live person talking then when they said the person's name they were trying to trace, it sounded like some sort of robot that mispronounced the last name. Not sure what they want, but I didn't answer either call and let my wife's ex-husband know they called me.

    Tired of scams!
This company called all my relatives stating they were looking for me. I called this company and the girl stated BRG was a "Grantor" I asked what they were granting? She stated that she had to confirm who I was and "told me" the last 4 of my soc sec #. ( had she really wanted to verify who I was, she would have asked me for the last 4 not told them to me) she said she was collecting for an internet loan from 6-7 years ago. I stated I didn't know them! I don't know BRG! Send anything she had in writing. she stated she couldn't do that so I told her our conversation was being recorded and she was to stop calling immediately. That any and all correspondence from this point further will be in writing. She said "what ever you would like sir" I said Thank you and hung up. This is obviously a scam call and they try to scare you into playing their games. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!! Make them get a real job like we have.

I agree..this is just a total scam.  I think they have called me on different numbers...different company names.  I have NEVER taking out an internet pay day loan EVER!...That is how I know it is a scam.  I also asked them to send me anything in writing.  Then they just get mad at you for not wanting to settle with them.  They then tell you they will see you in court!.  I am pissed they have the last four of my SSN!!!!

They called me and my parents looking for me. I called them back to resove the matter. They told me I had a payday loan I owed that was put into an account I haven't had in several years . I explained to them I did not have this account or take a loan out of that nature. They refused to send me proof and hung up on me.

Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started. The fraudsters relentlessly call the victims home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims relatives, friends, and employers.
