Anxious to Get Out of Debt

This number is still being used by American Express to collect on delinquent debt.
I have been about a 23 year customer of American Express - and I once had over $22,000+ of available credit.
The last two years have been difficult for me.
I find that American Express uses the MOST OBNOXIOUS, MOST HORRIBLE DEBT COLLECTORS, IN THE WORLD.

I have received calls for this number and when I call back they are unable to explain why they called. WHen I ask them to remove my number they say they cannot. Apparently a collection agency.

Not convinced this is a legit company
This number has repeatedly called my place of employment. Often times with no message. Only maybe two times was a message left. When the phone was answered whoever was on the other end of the line disconnected so quickly.
I have read the reviews below and checked the numbers referenced, nearly every post on here says it is a scam. With this recent encounter I can't imagine this is a legitimate company. I will not give out any of my personal information to someone I do not know over the phone. There are too many scams in the world to not be cautious

Been receiving calls from this number for the past month.  They don't leave a message so I googled to find out who was calling and came to this site.  Just received another call so I answered the call and the lady asked for a person that I don't know.  She wasn't interested in knowing my name.  I told her I didn't know the person she was asking for and that someone gave her bad phone number.  That was that.  I won't be so cordial if I have to repeat this conversation with another person from this company.  Very annoying that collection agencies aren't very careful.  We were also misidentified by an agency who targeted me with someone with the same name and middle initial (middle names were different).  The agency must have googled my name and the state of CA (California).  The actual person they were looking for was in GA (Georgia).  The collection agency sent me a FedEx package with years of bank statements when I asked for verification of debt.  That's when I did their job for them and told them their person was approx. 4 miles from their collection office in Georgia. That was the last time I heard from them. This one mistake by the collection agency continues to cause misidentification with other collection agencies.

    Hi friends,
Whenever you receive any call from this phone, do answer the phone call. The reason why I am telling you is, even i used to recive calls from this number and i never used to answer as unknown number. Once I happened to answer the phone call and was lucky to have a wonderful settlement option for my unpaid debt since 2015 with American Express. I got a discount of 40% and the best part was they asked me to pay it in 2 parts which was very convenient for me. All i can say is this ia an legitimate company...

I've been getting calls from this number for nearly two years. I have blocked them and they still call.  I don't have, have never had, and will never apply for, an American Express credit card.

Mike you should have done a little more research to know that the first offer of 50% discount is a starting point. I got them to do 10% or accept bankruptcy. Do some DD and could have saved yourself a lot more. Sorry but CC companies almost encourage you to take large amounts out and unfortunately sometimes the bets go bad. Thats life but you cannot tell me the debt collection firm that uses this number is anything but rude and overzealous!

I too had issues with AMEX regarding some things they classified incorrectly.  I wont answer the calls but am paying off AMEX on their website directly.  In this way I can avoid any issues with anyone.

Yeah, me too, but I dont answer. I have credit thats secure but what i believe may be happening out there is no gooders are establishing fraudulent accounts using different addresses and phone numbers belonging to you and me! Are you receiving junk mail in other people's name at your established long held residence? Are you receiving calls like this even though your own credit is spotless and rated high? When will the government of globalist deep state traitors start doing there jobs and go after the scum that does those sorts of horrific things.

I don't answer calls from unrecognized numbers. If it's a legit call, they will leave a message. If no message, I block it. I get more scam calls than legitimate ones.
