They ask for the person in charge of your power bill.  I asked to be removed from their calling list.

They are probably a utility supplier separate from the local utility company.  They promise you will pay less, show you rates that look pretty good, but they do fluctuate ever few months and you don't know what they will be.  We have people come door to door as well as call.  I was able to lock my utility account after I was scammed so that no one would be able to change it.  The company that calls and comes around here is Just Energy.

I get at least two calls per day from this number.  Most times I ignore them, but yesterday I spoke to the caller and told them I wasn't interested, take me off your list.  They called again later in the afternoon (I ignored it) and then again this morning.  Once again they asked for the person in charge of my gas and electric bill.  I told them we had spoken yesterday and that I'd asked them to remove me at that time, have received two calls since.  Asked them again to remove me.  Should they call again, I will ask to speak with a manager.

Rings phone and says "HELLO" and hangs up

I am convinced that do not call list is a complete farce!

Anyway, these people are commissioned, as they get a $$$percentage$$$ of each successful call where they've changed the power supplier. They just want your account information so that they can change your energy provider at any time AND without your permission -- and when that happens that is when they get paid.

Then you may have to pay a fee to get your previous energy & power provider back.

They call EVERY DAY...even weekends at all hours...sometimes twice a day. No message. I picked up twice and said to add me to do not call list. They call anyway no matter what.

They called and left a blank voicemail message. You can hear them in the back ground but no one says anything.

Left message stating my phone number address and power supplier. Barely understood message due to very poor English!

they call multiple times per day and when i answer, they hang up. i talked to a manager and told them to take me off of their calling list. lets see if that happens. they are solicitors trying to get you to switch utility companies. its all a sham.
