got a call from 877-463-2086 states her name is Megan Marsh and she is an attoney that is rep a loan company and if I did not contact their office they will bring charges up against me.  do not have idea of what she is talking about.

i got a phone call today from a detective who left a voicemail stating that he had received a fax a few days ago with my social security number and banking account information and i was to be served with a summons but the creditor wanted me to call them before the summons was sent out.  the last thing he said was i have been notified that i would be served.  I called the phone number he left 877-463-2086 and spoke with a very nasty woman named Megan Marsh who stated she was with Johnson Freedman Litigations.  She began threatening me with criminal and civil charges stating I wrote bad checks for a payday loan. When i tried to tell her its not a bad check when  they knew there was no money there when they took it, she stated she would see me in court and hung up.  I know that you can not be pursued criminally for a payday loan in KY and it is also illegal for them to threaten with criminal charges this is pursuant to KRS 289.9 100 and also internet lenders MUST be liscened in KY to be in compliance with the law. As you can guess, most online lenders are NOT.  So i cant wait to get my summons and submit my defense to the judge.  She picked the right one baby!

I too have received threatening voice mails from this Meghan person, however, she now states her name is Meghan Landry with Johnson and Freedman.  For the record, she is NOT an attorney.  I did some research and there is a Johnsona nd Freeman, LLC Firm, they are attorney's in the state of Georgia.  I contacted them to see if this Mehgan person in fact worked for them.  As you can guess, she does not.  I gave the Firm the contact numbers for Meghan just to verify that this 877 was not linked to this attorney Firm at all and it was not.  I spoke with Meghan yesterday, to try and find out was debt they said I owed, I asked for written validation, she refused to put it in writting.  She gave me 2 options for repaying the on line internet loan.  I basically told her I would call her back later.  After researching a little further and pulling my records, I found that the $105 the internet online loan company charged me every two weeks,for there so called fees more than payed the original $360 principle.  I also contacted the Kentucky Department of Financial Insititutions and was told that by law, KRS 286.9-110 Internet loans are not licensed in Kentucky and are considered void and CANNOT be collected on.  I have called Meghan back and made her aware of this, she said a summons will be served, I said go for it.

More than likely a payday loan that you one either defaulted on or you actually did pay back along with all the ridiculous fees.  I received calls from this Meghan person as well.  I personall spoke with 2 different people from the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions and they stated that ANY On-line payday loan, advance whatever they want to call it is absolutely against the law.  No on-line lenders are licensed in the State of Kentucky, only Store Front Pay Day Loan companies are.  If this Mehgan person is saying that you will get a summons because you are being sued tell her to go for it.  She has scare tactics like a man also calling stating that he will serving you with a summons if you do not comply with Meghan of Johnson and Freedman.  There is ABSOLUTELY nothing they can do.  If they are not licensed to due business in kentucky especially lending money to people when they know that more than likely the person will only be able to pay the high interest renewal fee every two weeks and never get the principle paid down.  Anyhow, if they contact you again, and it is in fact about a pay day loan that was done ON LINE and you Live in the State of Kentucky, let them know that there is absolutely nothing they can do.

Have you heard from her?, i realize it's been a while since you posted, but it will help me out to know if she actually served you  w a summons? you see she has contacted me, but w the name of megan lundy...trying to track her down..close, but any info you can provide will be helpful. She contacted me late july '10. I have so many violations on her and wish to have her stop doing this to others. Plz help.

Have you heard anything from M Lundy...you see she contacted me late july, sound like she said the same thing to you as she did to me. She told me her name was megan lundy. And that she was representing Johnson and Freedman- she doesn't work for them, i contacted their office in Atlanta. Has she served you, has she called you since you last posted? She told me i would be prosecuted for an nsf on a payday loan.. she violated so many laws when she contacted me. Any info would be appreciated, she also told me that she got my name and number from a fax that she had received along w my ss# and that she was ready to file in my county, but that they were willing to settle..i asked her for the filing number she didn't give it to me. she contacted me one more time after that, but as of today i haven't been served...would like to know if you have have and iny info you may have on her, i'm trying to locate her for a possible lawsuit.

this is sooooooo funny! i am going through the same crap!! i did borrow &325.00 from apple payday online, they were taking out 90.00 every 2 weeks just for interest, and if i wanted to pay it off i had to call 3 days in advance to pay the 325.00 in full. anyways i ended up paying them 10 times of what i owed them,...so after really sitting down going through my finances i seen how STUPID i was for allowing this to go on so long.. anyways, i ended up calling my bank to put a stop payment on the debit to keep them from making another penny off of me...about 3 days later the phone calls started, wanting me to settle for 630.00, i thought they had to be CRAZY i only borrowed 325.00, YEA RIGHT!! they harrassed me at work, even after being told to stop calling, then they started calling other exts around me at work ect ect ect..finally i told them to sue me, i told them they made a freaking gold mine off the money they already took from me..well about 3 months go by then i get this call the other day from a John Smith from NewYork stating he was a lawyer being retained for Apple Payday, saying if i didn't settle they were going to persue criminal and civil charges against me...i was SOOOOO scared about the criminal part of the matter...then i started getting voice mails saying something about a criminal and civil summons that's going to be executed at my place of work, or my home...after reviewing laws on online payday lenders I'm not concerned at all..THEY SHOULD BE GLAD THAT I DIDN'T KNOW THIS AWESOME KY LAW BEFORE HAND BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T HAD MADE A PENNY MORE OFF ME THEN WHAT I BORROWED!! oh, and I live in ky~~ hope this helps~

I received a call from an 877 number statting that her name is Megan and also a person who states her name is Melissa from Johnson and Freedmand lawf stating that a summons will be issued on a payday from an account that has been closed for over a year. The person stated that an attorney iwill send the summons to me and once received, no further negotiations can be made at that time. The person states that the only means to pay the loan is by credit or debit card. The  person did not provide an address to mail the amount in and stated that an address could not be provided. I later spoke to a payday loan company in my area and was informed that the when a payday loan is made and is not paid that loan is sold to different companies in an attempt to collect on loan. She alos informed me that it will go on the person's credit report but was unaware of the possibility of being sued.

Now they are saying you have won a sweepstake.  They say they are from Johnson Freedman LLC and have been chosen to distribute a $500,000 winnings to you.

Total scam.....do not give out personal info or bank info!!!   They are persistent and call several times a day".........
