It's a scam don't give them your info.... Posing as a collection agency

I just got a call from them at 11:30pm.  When I answered no one was there.  I could hear other people talking in the background on calls but the person on my line never said anything and I stayed on the line for almost two full minutes.  I have read on a couple of other sites that this is a scammer posing as a collection agency trying to collect credit card numbers.

yup. totally a scammer pressing me for my credit card information about 5 minutes ago.

No one said anything calls all the time

They have called and called me and when I asked who the caller was, he rudely asked me "who are YOU"

Since September 20th, they have been calling 3 times a day.

The caller won't give any information, is rude - hostile - which makes me think this is a scam.

Me too.  I pick up, no one there.  I call back, the number has been disconnected.  This happens 2 or 3 times a day for about 3 or 4 days now.  I would like to find this [***] and break his or her phone and or arms.

This number has been calling me 2-4 times a day. This has been going on for about a month -2 months and continuing. when i answer they hang up.i call back the line is busy or has changed. or not in service.i got a letter in the mail that said i owed a CD Music Club $30.56 for something i NEVER orderd This number is ALLIED INTERSTATE LLC. A debt collection agencey. I am getting sick and tired of these [***] calling me!  i looked up on the internet about this company and read alot of complaints about them. DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION they might use it against you. don't call this number back you will a message saying This Number has changed or been disconnected or a busy signal.

I keep getting a call from this number also. When they couldn't reach me they called my husbands cell looking for me. When I tried calling back it rings as a disconnected or changed number. All they do is sit on the phone and not say anything. I just hang up and don't give them that satisfaction of waiting for them to speak. But it is so annoying day after day they just keep calling. This is definitely a scam. How the heck do we stop these stupid calls????

you are right a scam - the call them selves allid collection agence ,  I called them gave my phone # and they gave a name not my and pressed 1 = then it started all over again ,
I called my credid protecton agency , they said do not give any info - and they will take care of it , re a fraud etc , look out for them and just block them etc , call the do not call reg and make a complaint ,
and call the fcc too

I picked up and someone actually responded and said Private Business Matter. Said I was in Collections for a BSG Music Group - not in collections by the way. Very Rude and told her all about this blog and this was a scam. Demanded to speak with a manager and she kept talking over me saying she would make me a deal. She finally hung up on me once she probably figured out I was on to her lies. Why isn't anything being done about this crap?

I missed a few calls from this number. When I called them back, he asked for someone named Clarence. I told them that I don't know anyone by that name and I've only had this # for a few weeks (which is true) and they said they were sorry and they wouldn't bother me again. Weird...hopefully they really will leave me alone and not keep calling.
