I just got a call from this number. The caller ID states "UNAVAILABLE" and the caller didn't leave a message.

They called a 310 area code number. They said nothing when I answered the phone. Sounded like I was being recorded too.

I've recieved calls from this number up to a couple times a day. Sometimes I answer hoping someone is on the other end , so I can tell them to remove my number off their lists. No one is ever on the other end, however. It's extremely annoying and rude.

I ignored a call from this # earlier today and then found this.  I am on the do no call list- but that obviously has limited success.  Glad I didn't answer it.

I can guarantee it, but I suspect it could be Sallie Mae. I started getting calls from this number after my grandma died & she was paying them off.

Some recorded message from some Indian chic at Allied Debt Collectors, trying to collect a debt.
Can only imagine that it is for someone else as we don't owe anything to anyone (YAY!)

I'm on the Do Not Call registry, why do they keep calling?!?!?!?!

They will continue as they are debt collectors and the DNC registry does not apply to collection agencies. The only way to stop a collection agency from contacting you is either verbally by answering the phone or by sending a letter to the company. Whether you owe them or not, the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act prohibits them from calling you after you have asked them to stop.

FYI- if you do not owe anything they are probably calling you trying to get contact info and collect a debt from someone that you know, most likely a relative. It is what they call skip-tracing. I get these type of calls all the time. Just keep in mind that some times a agency collects for more than one company and can still call you if they are calling regarding a different collection account. But most of the time once they realize that you a familiar with the FDCPA rules the calls tend to lessen.

why would they call everyday for months and not leave a message?

This number calls everyday between 8:00 and 9:00 AM.

They called and wanted to verify my address and full name as its listed on my social.

Allied Interstate is a collection agency. They have a spotty record and the BBB has an F reported for them.

This number calls  my number 8-10 times a day beginning at 8am sometimes earlier. I never answer. Who are they?

I get calls from this number everyday, sometimes 3 times a day. Everytime I answer the line hangs up. How can I get them to stop.
