What company they called from

This company called and said that it was concerning a contract and that they needed me to confirm the last 4 of my social to give me information. When asked what company they were from, they would not give me information.
I let them know I would have my lawyer get back to them and the rep was quick to stutter a bit and hang up.

This is a debt collection scam. They called me to get contact info for another person, claiming that it was illegal not to provide it--not true. First, it's illegal for a debt-collector to tell someone other than the debtor about a bill, so if they were a legitimate collector they could be reported. Second, they're super slippery about identifying themselves, which doesn't make any sense if they're representing themselves as a company that handles sensitive information regularly. Third, the contact information call was a recording, they're just cold-calling people on a contact list and bluffing to get more information to harass with.

This company has been calling me.  It is a recorded message asking for information on my whereabouts.   This is a scam, the problem is they have called my sister and Brother whom I have not given out there info.

They called non stop. I finally answered they tried to get my social and stated I had taken out a cash advance loan and never paid back. I have never taken a cash advance loan out. I told them I want a cease and desist. He then stated I needed to send in a letter. I said no I can verbally request one and you can send me a letter with what you are claiming I owe. He said oh ok then.

This is the third recorded call I have received from someone saying they are trying to get in touch with my younger brother.
I have hung up each time.

I have gotten several calls from this number stating that they are searching for my son. That I need to contact them because if I don't, they will contact other people who he knows. I went through this a few years ago with an outfit out of Pakistan or India. It was so disgusting, the threats they made. This is very similar in nature. I finally told the person to stop calling me as I had contacted the FCC and Attorney General of the state I was living in. The guy hung up and I never got called back. If this keeps up, I shall do the same with these jerks!

I received a call from this number. The message they left was very vague. The message also said that if this was not me to call and inform them, and they would contact anyone on my "reference" list if I did not call back. I called the number back and it said it was supposedly a debt. The funny thing is they asked for me by my previous last name which I have not used in over 7 years. I told them that I know that I do not have any open debts and that if I did and it is in my previous last name then it is way older than any states statutory limits for collections would be. I told her that if they call me or attempt to contact anyone looking for me, that I would contact a lawyer and sue them. She quickly said "thank you ma'am" and hung up.

Call everyday looking for my whereabouts!! Have resorted to calling family members too!! It's a scam!! Who the heck is FMR???
