I didn't receive a phone call, but I received two charges in the amount of $14.95 deducted from my checking account.

Same thing happened to me.  Call your card and cancel it - it is an automatic add-on from a clothing catalog (mine was Newport News).  It deducts automatically and monthly from whatever charge card you used to order with.

I also got charges of $12.95 to my credit card account through this (think it was Newport-News). No more ordering there for me!

Just discovered this $14.95 charge on MY credit card, with THIS phone number.  It's called "In Pass".  I haven't bought anything from Newport News since August of 08!  HOLY COW!  I have been charged this for months.  Time to stop it now!

This is a scam what the hec, I also got charges on my card for $12.95.

I did not receive a phone call from this number, but I noticed it on my online bank account summary. I, too, was charged $14.95, and it said something about an In Pass for Forbes. I have NO idea what this is all about. I don't know about legalities, but I want my money back from that company.

I noticed a charge for Insider Pass on my current bank statement also with this phone number attached.  I had no idea what it was.  I looked back through the past few months on my bank statement and they have been deducting $14.95 a month.  I called the number and canceled the insider pass, which I wasn't even aware that I had signed up for in the first place.  They offered to credit this month's deduction back to my account but refused to credit the previous months.  I apparently (and unintentionally) agreed to the membership when I placed an order with Newport News approximately 1.5 years ago.  So. . . . basically. . . . .  I'm out approximately $280-ish and there's nothing I can do about it.  Hopefully canceling the membership has at least fixed the issue.

This is ridiculous!  I just had this same thing happen from newport news.  I NEVER authorized this...EVER and I called to cancel the 'membership' that I NEVER authorized and had to tell the idiot 6 times "I do not want this...cancel it and give me my money back" and the guy went on and on about the 'savings' I could  get...uggghhh......I'm sooo irriated.  Just think of the amount of money these places get from people that just don't notice the charge!!!

Thank you everyone ive been trying to figure out what this charge has been for months and bank wouldnt tell me anything! i havent ordered anything from new port since christmas 2008!!!!! [***]!!! well thank you because this would have kept happening.
