I got a call from this number.  I said hello I got no response.

idk know who it is!!!! ahh they will  not leave me alone

They just called me and left a voice mail. They said my name twice in a normal voice then was in a super high cartoon voice said "Ashley? You didn't answer." And hung up. Weird.

Supposedly if you call this # back it is degree counseling services. I called them 2 days ago to take my name off their list but they are still calling. I never received a call from them until I started going to websites for financial aid like fastweb.com. Probably something related. Worst part is after calling them a second time and asking them to never ever call me again they said I would still be receiving phone calls from them for up to 48 hours.

I am registered with fastweb.com, but after one and a half years this is the first time that I've ever received a call from this number!!!

I just got a call on my cell from this number and they have been calling me repeatedly for the past few days.  Once they left a voicemail that sounded like someone dropped a huge box and then they hung up.  The voicemail that I just got was something absolute no one could understand and it was like one word and then they hung up again.

this company called my number on 6/30/2010, at around 5pm, I answered the phone and no one spoke, i called back and spoke to someone. i asked to have my number removed. the woman on the phone said they would remove my information. they said they got my information through an inquary ( which i never put in for anything while online about looking to further my education), the woman was also rude on the phone and would avoid answering questions. then on 7/01/2010, at 8 am i recieved another call but wasnt able to pick up. so i called back and didnt get anyone on the phone. one minute later they called me back, i answered and told the woman on the phone that i asked to have my number removed the previous day and did not want to be contacted, i asked if she could remove it and the woman kept avoiding what i was saying. i asked to speak to a supervisor or a manage and the woman refused and said she would remove my information. i asked if i wouldn't be getting another call tomorrow, the woman said yes, so i asked "yes i will be getting a call or yes i wont be recieving anymore calls" the woman hung up. 5pm same day i got a call from a man named carlos from the same number same company, and i told him i already spoke to someone today and yesterday to have my number removed and why am i being contacted again in the same day, i also said to him that this is harrassment and the man then hung up.
i really hope they do not contact me again.

I received this call, too.  I signed up for a couple of financial aid websites and one of them was only yesterday morning.  This place claims to be a degree counseling service.  The lady barely spoke English and lied to my husband, claiming that she was responding to my email inquiry.  That is a complete and total lie.  She is a telemarketer.  I  called back and took my number off their list.  Then, I blocked them, online, through our phone service provider.

Call the number back and choose option 1 to have your phone # removed from their list. I think it is odd that this is an option, they must be feeling the heat from a bunch of pissed off people they consistently harass! The automated system says it can take up to 24-48 hours to be removed. We'll see, hopefully it will work.

Called me at 8:30 am. Just as I was about to fall asleep and so I called back and went through the process to have my phone added to their do-not-call list.

it's one of those college degree/financial aid programs. when register for scholarships and look into online courses and stuff your information gets sold to them! they've called me 10 times in the past 3 days and they're still calling even though i had my number removed off their do not call list, so i blocked their number on my phone!!!!!

I've been getting 3 to 4 calls days from this number for the last week.  Yesterday I started answering the call, but I did not speak.  After about 15 seconds, the call would disconnect.  Today, I answered the call and just said "Hello".  After a 3 second delay, someone got on the line.  Degree Counseling.  I told them to remove my number and that I'd filed a complaint with the FCC.  If you look online, the FCC has a form for this specific type of telemarketing call when noone speaks after you answer. They're using automated software that transfers the calls to the telemarketer after the software detects a human voice.   {'Abandoned Calls' ('Silent Calls,' 'Dead Air Calls' from a telemarketer) and 'War Dialing' received on your residential or business telephone}  Here's the link if you'd like to file a complaint.  (I think you should!)

I haven't signed up for anything that would prompt these calls, but my daughter is in college and I'm listed on her financial aid forms, so I guess they get these numbers from a wide variety of sources.

Tell them to leave me alone. I dont want to go to their school I already attend a better one.
