Has called me for the last two weeks, multiple times in a single day.  Never leaves a message.

just one call yesterday.  no message.

got calls all the time on a daily basis never wanting to identify who they were.

got the same call, no messge left

Keep getting recorded voice mails allegedly from American Express looking for a person that doesn't live here or is attached to this phone number.  I've called them three times and told them that and they still keep calling.  I've reported all calls to the Do Not Call Registry in hopes it will do some good.  All future calls will be immediately deleted, but will keep tracking them and reporting them.  Will also look into filing harassment charges if they continue.

I received several voice messages on my cell and work phones telling me to return the call.  I never did.  I just happened to answer the phone today and the man on the other end said that AMEX was willing to work out a deal with me.  He said if I paid my balance in full,  AMEX would reinstate my card and give me a $1,000 credit limit.  I did have an AMEX card but I haven't used the card in over a year.  I paid the balance in full and cut the card up.  Everytime I told them my balance was paid in full, he kept saying if you can pay this by September 29th, your relationship with AMEX will be reinstated.  He then in turn put his 'supervisor', Troy, on the line.  Troy said that they can set up a payment plan.  I could pay in monthly installments until the balance is paid in full.  He said the first payment had to be received by September 29th. I told him the balance was paid in full, but he like the other gentleman, acted as if I had said nothing.  Troy asked if I could pay $670 on Thursday.  I said I would call him tomorrow.

This number just called me, but I didn't pick up. Thanks to this site I figured out it's American Express. I don't have American Express so it's whatever haha...thanks to the posters though for helping me figure out who this was.

Number shows up and caller ID says "unavailable".  When I answered a lady with an accent said she wanted someone with my name and was calling from American Express.  I said "No you're not" and hung up.  My AMEX acct is always paid in full every month.  I called American Express to complain and they said that the number corresponds to a legitimate collections agency that they use.  They also said that there is another person in my area with my same name and they will see what they can do to stop the harrassment.

All I can say is that they are persistent.  They call my shop phone 4-5 times a day, but never leave a message.  Oh well...they'll learn to leave a message eventually...lol

I've been getting this number on my cell phone for some time now. They don't leave a message but keep calling. I don't have an AMEX card but it's good to know who's calling.

Never ending calls, keep blocking, then they simply use a different number. American Express should know WHO their clients are before giving info to a collection agency, I don't have a card you freaking idiots. Do your damned homework instead of borhering people. They don't listen, and they dont give up. Jerk****!

Just got a call from this number. Was asked to be put in touch with some random person that i never heard of. Sounds like some kind of identity thief scam. I called the number back and it answers with an automated amex answering machine but i did not confirm with amex that this is a lagit service.

I would be very careful before answering there questions.

My sister just got a call from this number about her Balance due. She has a card and owes. Somehow they convinced her to give them their bank account numbers so they could set up a payment plan. I received a similar call but u was suspicious.  I checked the number 8775160592. Supposedly from American express. ...not.....
