- David XXXXXXThis company had told me that my phone number was removed from their list. Then a few days later I was called again. When I talked to them later in the day they said that the pervious person didn't remove my number, but this time it was removed. I asked to talked to a supervisor. Five minutes later another person came on the line and said that the first person removed the number of a David E. XXXXXX and the call today was for a David XXXXXX. I asked for the name of the company they were collecting for and was told they did not have to tell me, but it maybe a state goverment for the courts.

- vinceThis company has called my family on several occassions and when I contacted them they have refused to tell me who they are collecting for without giving them my social security number. They varified my identity with a correct birthdate. Which I feel is adqueate information. I am more than willing to work with people if they will tell me what this is about and who they are collecting for. In this day and age of scams I refuse to give out information to any caller.

- RodIt is Alliance One, A collection agency. I told him I had no outstanding bills. He asked me if my birth day was.......? I told him no. He said sorry . He told me I would be receiving no more calls from them.
- AlexCan't get to anyone when call them back and planned on asking them to take me off of their list but can't get ahold of anyone. They call at least several times a week even with my number on the DONOTCALL list. These guys should be ashamed of themselves with the constant harassment calls.
- Edward| 1 replyI receieved a letter in the mail from this company saying that my drivers license may be suspended. I called them right away and they told me that they were collection a debt from a speeding ticket that hasn't been paid in get this...2003. That's right, 6 yrs later. I have renewed my license since then, insurance, etc and haven't heard a thing from my state. Unreal!!!!

- MadAtThemMy wife had a ticket that wasn't paid for 2 months. The fines were given to Alliance One for them to collect. At the same time the DMV sent a notice that my wife's license will be suspended. The forms from the DMV stated that if an amount was listed the payment can be made at the DMV offices or at the Alliance One offices. If it wasn't listed you can get the specific amount from calling the courts or Alliance One. Keeping the license from being suspended was more important to me so I went to the DMV, waited 2 hours, and paid the fine so the payment can be recorded directly by the DMV, the people resonsible for license suspensions. I don't know what Alliance One does after the fine has been paid but they have now called for my wife as if they never received confirmation of my payment to the DMV. It could be that there is miscommunication between the DMV and Alliance One, but I don't trust Alliance One very much. I called on my wifes behalf and they wasted no time trying to gather MY information. Maybe it part of their training to be pushy and insistent about your personal info. Needless to say, I'm going to the DMV first. Forget Alliance One!

- Suzie MorganAlliance One often uses illegal debt collection tactics. Even if no one in your household owes the debt they're calling about, harassing phone calls are still a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Make sure to keep a log of the calls; it can help establish your case against the company. Legit fair debt attorneys will represent you for free, since the debt collection agency is responsible for paying your attorney fees.
