I received a call from a Ms. Martin at my job.  I came back from lunch to receive a message telling me that this bytch was giving them hell when they were only trying to take a message.  I called the number back and quickly realized that these morons up there like to prey on the ignorant.  I had already paid off the balance they were referring to.  Not to mention, Ms. Martin didn't want to provide her full name.  I could tell she was becoming frustrated over my very laid back and nonchalant attitude.  I guess her boiling point was her hearing me eating candy over the phone when she asked "Oh my god, are you eating??" and I said "It's just some candy, chill" so she hung up on me, lol.  I called back only for some hispanic guy to try and tell me how irresponsible I am and how I don't pay my bills, but I just let the suckers know that I forbid them to call my job, they can harass away on my cell because that doesn't phase me lol.  Voicemail it!

Remember folks, if they are calling your job then you can tell them that your boss forbids these kind of calls at your workplace and to not call your job.  If they continue, they report them to the BBI or the link that Ritarro is referring to!

This woman called Caroline Drinkwater(first of all come on) and wants you to pay on a debt, but the kicker is...they want two times as much as you originally owe. Kind of think that is illegal and the fact that they get your number from who knows where and tell you that they will take you to court. Obviously, they do not know the law.  Just tell them to screw themselves and provide you with ample documentation.

Received a call from "Ms. Tibbins" w/Vision Assets at this number.  They allege that I took out a Holiday Payday Loan in July 2002.  I explained that I did not, as in 2002 I wasn't working b/c i was in school - how could I take out a payday loan without a payday?  I requested written documentation of this charge and Ms. Tibbins said it had been mailed to me, and offered to email me the documents (have not received either).  She transferred me to her senior manager who pressed me to just pay the amount remaining and resolve the issue today and was very displeased when I said I wanted to look into the matter further.

I suspect a scam and here is why - six months ago I got a call from a similarly named company, insisting that I owed money to Bally Total Fitness for the last month of my gym membership, which expired in 2004 (and was paid then b/c I was on an auto-payment through my credit card).  The amounts are identical.  They claim the initial loan I took out was $86. (why would I take out a loan for this amount?!)  With the Bally's case they claimed my last monthly payment was $86 - my monthly payments were not that much.  Vision claims I now owe $134.67 on this alleged loan.  Random figure right?  Oddly, in the Bally's case, they too claimed I owe $134.67.  Both cases insisted I pay the amount today.  Both used the phrase "If I were you, I would just pay this amount today. It is JUST $134.67."  Both insist this charge is on my credit report; I check this annually, and it is not. When pressed for further details about the original account, both persons said that they were not allowed to give out that information, and could only give me the last four digits of the account number.  When I stated that I firmly believed I did not take out the loan (or still owe Bally's) and asked if there was someone at the respective companies with whom I could discuss the original matter, I was told that no, they no longer had those records, they did not deal with it at all once it was turned over into collections.  Both persons also claimed that the case was being pursued in "a district court" but could not tell me which one.

Further interesting similarity - in both cases, the person had a very ready and easy explanation.  For the Bally's case I was told that often people thought they paid their final bill and really did not.  When I explained that I was on an auto-pay so the charge was auto-debited and I had my card statements to show this, she said that Bally's did not auto-debit the last payment and this was a frequent mix up on the consumer's part.  For this Holiday payday loan, I was told that it couldn't possibly be fraud because in order to get a loan you have to have a paystub, give checking account information, have your ssn# and photo id.  I said at that time I neither had a paycheck nor a checking account, and was told that I needed to look into who was in my house at the time and took my information and opened this loan.

I'll be looking into this matter further, but in the meantime wanted to share my story.  If you get a call from this company do your research!!

I just got a call from them asking me to call back. Funny, this is the 3rd name change for them. They were Kristin Swanson-Mace, then S.C. and Associates, now this. The same person continues to call and threatens to sue, but I don't owe them!

Shanelle with Vision Asset Management has called me twice in the past week at my job. I have let it roll to voicemail and she insists I call back and speak about the debt that I owe OR she will send my case to the...get this...pretty damn funny.....The county for lawsuit processing!  I have to laugh my ass off. WOW.. I know my rights and quite frankly these companies do not scare me at all. To send a case to a court would be more costly to THEM than for me to just pay it. That's why they never send it over, they think by intimidation and threats they can get you to "just pay it". You can make a complaint to the FTC at http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpajump.shtm

I made the mistake of setting up payments out of my acct for 4 mos.  The payment was initiated from Vision Asset  Mgmt.  I am now getting harassed from someone saying I still owe on this dept and using the same information as this Ms. Greene.  This dept was a balance on a payday loan from 2006.  Someone had to get this money as it had to be sent somewhere but is hard to get my bank to help even after explaining situation.  They used a different no.  8772430833
