Caller from this # left msg stating my full name which I never use in financial situations.  Msg asked if I am person they asked for to wait 3 seconds for second msg to kick in.  I hung up.  No ID for this call.  Obviously prerecorded message from whoever it was.  Would like to know how someone got my full name and cell # and what the scam is.

I rec'd the same call and not sure where they got my cell phone number from either.

Not sure who they are, called on my cell phone and state it is about collecting some unpaid funds.
I owe no one any money.  Not sure what this is about.  Called my doctor and reported it.

Recorded message calls evry other day or so.

They are a debt collector for medical bills

This number calls me every other day and leaves the same recorded voicemail about someone named james white! I finally downloaded a block list app and put them on my black list

These people called me and yes they are Mediacredit.  When I questioned them they did not want to give me answers but told me I was being recorded...I ask them why I was being recorded and she told me a personal matter...I ask what kind of personal matter and she hung up.  lol  I guess all you have to do is ask questions to make them go away.  Because they sure don't want to answer any questions.

When they call me they leave a msg (since I won't answer) saying "This is a courtesy call from 'The Outsource Group' calling on behalf of UNC Hospitals, . . ." (which I do owe money to . . .) I'm SURE they have MULTIPLE names that they use! But GUARANTEED! If they REFUSE to answer questions, to the degree that they just hang up, they're trying to pull off SOMETHING that is in someway illegal! Personally, I would LOVE to pay off the medical bills that I owe, but living on $1,000/mo makes it impossible. And I have NO other bills other than rent and utilities! I don't even have cable! In fact, I don't even have a credit card!  You used to be able to pay $5-$10/mo and could keep the wolves at bay. . . But sadly, not anymore! They're only willing to break it down into about 4 different payments, usually. Pretty much leaves me without options. But for those if you who don't believe you owe money, DO NOT believe them when they start dishing out the threats! KNOW THE LAWS IN YOUR STATE FOR DEBT COLLECTION!!!! Otherwise, these clowns will have you paying stuff you already paid off or never owed in the first place! There is a STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS AS TO HOW LONG YOU ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO PAY ON CERTAIN BILLS! So check that as well, before you go paying on something 3yrs or older! Its different in EVERY STATE! Take care folks!

This call is from someone claiming to be the IRS...and they stated that I was being sued by the Internal Revenue Service and I need to contact them ASAP..........The IRS has no knowledge of said law suit.

Received a scam call from this number today, attempting to collect payment for a "medical bill" from a hospital I've never heard of.  Somehow they got my name and used my name during the call.  My options were to press 2 to make payment or press 3 to speak to a representative.  When I pressed 3, the call disconnected.  If I had pressed 2, I'm sure they would have taken payment and ripped me off!

Called my cell phone, a number only my family has and in the message all I could catch was Para-something and UNC. I looked the number up and found this message board. I'm reporting this to the NC Department of Justice. They have an online complaint report. The NCDOJ has taken action before on harassing phone calls for me.

Just received a call from them in regards to a bill from UNC - I will call UNC first before I call these folks back.  From other sites it appears to be a scam - will talk to UNC first before I would call these folks back

Yes my called ID picked up "Parallon"...left an automated vm stating to press 1 if this is Dad's girl, press 2 if it's not, 3 if message can be left w/someone else in Dad's girl absence....they call every other day..but this is the first of any messages.

This is a scam. One msg was re my tax business; another re KMH lab diagnostics.

My husband just got a call from this number saying they were from "The Office of (gave his first and last name)" so basically it said his office (which he doesn't have and never has had)was calling him. This is stupid and a scam.

Said they were from UNC "TOG" dept. asked how I was feeling & I said very sick & they said ok I'll call you another time & hung up. I do owe money but I'll work it out with UNC directly.

Fake it's call. Check out YouTube for some very funny people who are scamming the scammers back. Fake IRS is a well known one. They want you to pay them back with gift cards from your local store. Lol. Right. Ithe real it's would call, not write, and want gift card numbers rather than a check.but it seems if they say it's unc medical bills (which I also owe) and IRS then they are indeed a screen and iay have fallen for it. Ugh. They just called me again today.
