Salesman acts like he knows you.......wants to send freebie over and "free" samples of cleaning supplies

Yes similar thing happen to me, He acts as if he knows you, then when I confirm it was me he just hung up the phone.  

He said his name was John Donovan from IPC

Called offering to send free NFL shirts, hats, and tickets. Company called IPC Then wanted to send degreasers and shop supplies.  After I asked if they were free too, they replied "of course not."  Told them no, they hung up.

Caller identified herself as Diane with IPC then said something very quickly about the company I work for and asked me to hold for her supervisor. Then Whitney came on the line and said that she was my account rep but had been transfered out of town, which is why I haven't seen her. She then started talking about free football jerseys and other giveaways. After that she asked a few questions about degreasers and hand cleaners and said she would send me a few cases of each and asked what payment terms I wanted. I told her I wasn't prepared to buy and that I would like a catalog or something to look at. She offered to reduce the price, but needed to sell me something so she wouldn't lose my account. She then gave me her "cell" number - the company's main toll free number and hung up.

They call and talk to you like they know you. Then want to try to sell you something.

Got the same message as JIm Smith already listed.  Intern came on and asked some questions then got her supervisor, Whitney Malone on the line.  She went on about free NFL shirts, etc and then asked questions about what cleaning supplies we used and then tried confirming our address.  When I asked if she were sending free samples she said no.  At that point I told her we weren't buying anything and she ended the call.

Got a call from IPC, Patti Greene, offering free NFL shirt and dinner when they came out to see us in January.  Never heard of them, wanted me to give a PO# over the phone for products that she thought we stocked.  I told her I couldn't give her a verbal PO over the phone, our PO's had to be generated through our system for stock items.   Hung Up....

Got a call from this company and like everyone else they acted as I had ordered from them before at a company I worked for. I remembered using this type of cleaner and ordered a case of cleaner and a bucket of all purpose cleaner. The prices they quoted and what the bill was for was not the same. Trying to return, anyone have the address (street address)?

I've been trying to get rid of the products they sent me also call came into me just as others described.They used a bogus\purchase order number and my name on the order which anyone in the city can get my name from the place I work at it's in our website.I and got a Steve Rogers? at 1-215-441-8669 which is now bogus.Ihave left messages with them and told them to come get the stuff I don't want.And then last week I get a bill for $400 of crap.Already talked to legal dept about them.

A little bit ago, I received a phone call asking if I had received a white slip for a missed delivery from UPS from the shipper, "Innovative". I started asking questions and she told me "this is only my second day, so, sorry, if I am not sure what I need to ask" She said she wanted to re-ship the items. I asked her who ordered them and what was ordered and she told me to please hold for her supervisor. She put me on hold, I put her on hang up !!!! Then, a few minutes ago, I get the mail and there is an invoice in there from Innovative in Pompano Beach, FL for $233.76. Never ordered this stuff, never received this stuff. How is something like this not classified as fraud and what keeps these guys from going to jail for stuff like this. This is just so wrong. Watch out everybody !!!!!

am having the same issue except the stuff actually showed up at the office. Now I am trying to figure out how to send it back? Do you have an address for the scammer??? Please help!

Got a call from Shannon Jackson of Standard Products Company of Florida. She said she had sent me something, but it got returned and she just wanted to verify my address and get my name so she could send it again. I started asking questions and they seemed to get skiddish. I asked them to place me on their do not solicit list and they hung up.
