They just called me and said they were calling regarding an item that was returned from my bank... GUESS WHAT???? I have not had a returned item from my bank.  Has to be a scam!

called on Dec. 8,2011, saying that i needed to return their call today said it was about a returned check from my bank and I dont have any returned checks from my bank so i looked up their phone number and all i find is blogs about them being scum bags i dont think i will be calling them back i think i will report them to the FTC and Attorney Generals Office in Texas.I have talked to an attorney friend of mine and she say's that if you have a returned check from anyone they normally send you a certified letter in the mail trying to get you to take care of it and then if you dont they will turn it over to the County that you wrote the check in and they will send you a certfied letter in mail and then they called back today Jan. 12, 2012 if we did not call back they were going to file charges of check by deposit fraud and or theft by deception how is this if it all over a returned check that they say they have of ours when our bank say that we have no returned checks.

check out bustedmugshots.com and put in lavell bowen who is the owner of this company and you will see his mugshots 5 of them for theft by taken. He also works for National Credit Adjusters and they may want to know this information. I am a previous collector for his company so I have first hand knowledge of his illegal activities.

Dear Brian are you a drug attick you was terminated from the company for threatening to bring a gun to your place of employment for not getting a bonus check when you wanted it.  How many times have you been incarcerated for drugs or theft.

Did you you that Mr. Bowen was incarcerated for RENTING A CAR FOR SOMEONE WHO DIDNT RETURN IT AND GOT INVOLVED IN AN OUT OF STATE ACCIDENT!

This is a general message for individuals with returned items from their bank and your number was listed if it wasn't you all you have to do is call verify the information and get your name removed from the list.

There is never an attempt to defraud or deceive anyone just get to the person necessary to resolve the outstanding issue.


What is America coming to!! That's why we have so much debt!

Please guys put real issues and concerns on these blogss please!!!

EBSS is a debt collector and we only call those who owe debts or whose numbers are associated with debts!!

If people paid their bills we would not have the issues in America we do today!

Maybe the number listed at the time of the returned item was not yours did you ever think of that someone had a returned item!

Question did you even call to see if it was for you or some one that used your number or even had the number before!!

You took the time to blog and not to call and investigate!!

What were they scamming you for? What did they ask you for that they didn't already have?

EBSS helped me clear up my debt with my payday loan.
The company had my account number skewed and could never draft out my
payments therefore my account was charged off and sent to collections.

The rep explained the situation to me and I was able to resolve my debt!

I received a call from these guys they were very helpful and saved me a lot of trouble by clearing up my debt.

And guess what I went out and got myself another loan the same day

I received a call from EBSS and at first I was skeptical because I didnt have a checking account.
But after I listened I saw that my dirty exwife used my name to open up a bank account that I was not aware of they helped my file to police report and remove this from my name.

They were very helpful

Ebss has been calling me for months really I thought it was a scam and I was off today and spoke with them and realized that I had taken out a payday loan and paid what I thought I owed didnt realize that my final payment didnt post and went delinquent and sent me to collections.

they were helpful set me up on payment arrangements and i feel good about getting this from over my head to stop the calls.

ebss is a debt collector collecting on payday loans i dont wanna pay and aint gonna ever pay and keep getting loans each week

Have been repeatedly called even after contacting the company that the number they are calling has been recycled to me by the phone company over 2 years ago.. I am not the person or party they are seeking.

April 12, 2012 11:19 am   date that I returned call and asked to be removed from call list, and was told to call a background check company call Accurint consumer call line# 888-497-0011.

I have calls prior to that date as well.

Anyone who said anything nice about this company is only ONE person and they work for this horrible company. I just received a call saying that a return item was associated with my accout and I needed to all ASAP. Huge scam is all it is!

recieved a call from this number, only it was EDSS (piggy backing on a legit scumbag company) stated address was northeast expressway in atlanta georgia. EBSS address is not the same. I do not now or have ever had a payday loan. I offered to report them to the FTC and the FBI to save them the trouble. Guess what, they hung up.

Just got a call from a Chief Morris who said I had some payday loan from March of 2010 that I tried to get on the internet and said that they have forensic evidence etc but that my bank account was fraudulent?? I was supposed to pay a huge amount today or my DL would be suspended tomorrow and have a warrant for my arrest issued but I never got a payday loan or have put my info online at anytime because of scams/Woman kept threatening me and was very rude and abrupt.  Said was EBSS for Easy Money???  I believe that this is a scam to see who they can scare and get peoples hard earned money!!!

I did call this company back, they were looking for a Shane-told them this was not me and I didn't know this person. GUESS WHAT!!! THEY ARE STILL CALLING MY NUMBER!!!!

the same illiterate person has written several GOOD comments about this scam group. don't give any info. legally a collector has to have all of the info concerning the debt and give it to you in writing by the usps. they can't suspend anyone's license or garnish anyone's wages without a court order and to take you to court they must serve you with written notice of pending court action. don't be scared or fooled into giving these people anything. when they call save the number in your contacts as junk, scammers or whatever you like and don't answer their calls. they will get tired of trying to get your money and move on to someone else after a while.

Yea right.  You probably work with these crooks.
