This is a total scam. Said they were from Navient, but I knew all my loans were current. Luckily I called went on Navient's website and called them directly and verified that everything was fine.Then I called the scam artists and you could hear the unprofessionalism everywhere. They even having a recording that says they are Navient. To make a long story short, I gave them my name and fake birthdate and last 4 of ssn, he "pulled up" my account and said I was behind on a loan from some time ago, the loan was for $1300 and he was sure I would want to make current on it. I asked where the loan was from because I never went to school, he said it was student signature loan. I told him that it was impossible because I never even went graduated high school. He "noted" the account that I was the wrong person. I actually have 2 degrees, but because they are an obvious scam...they wouldnt know that! I advise  you to call the company directly, do not use any numbers they provide to you and ask questions...this guy couldnt answer any questions accurately enough to validate their claims. They are realizing that people are catching on to their scams because they are very hesitant to answer the phone and will hang up on you if they get suspicious. I had to call 4 times before I could actually get someone to stay on the line. PLEASE DONT PAY THESE PEOPLE!

Claimed to be calling from Navient, said previously Sallie Mae, regarding a student loan for someone who shares my last name.  Gave me a lot of information about the person who supposedly owes on this loan, seems unethical to me.  If I'm not the debtor the caller shouldn't be telling me where they think the person who took out the loan works, while phishing around for information.  What a nuisance of a call!

Got a call looking to locate one on my renters.  Would only tell me it was about a student loan.  Just wanted their phone number.

This number called my cell phone and my elderly father's land line claiming to be navient. Looking for my two grown children who have loans with navient. Caller claims they are both behind in payments but both of my kids are current in their payments. I'm really sick of this. They've called my father before and he has sent payments without my knowledge. And I don't think my kid was behind in his payments then, either.  Fleecing an old man is not cool!
