I get these calls consistently and all they want is money. They tell you they're from the county court and they have a law suit filed against your SS number and unless you call they will go ahead with filing and serving the documents.

This number says they have legal documents for me to sign but unfortunately they were not able to serve to my home or work address and I needed to solve this matter immediately or court would be held without me and I'd be served a warrant.

Complete BS.  First off they are being vague about "not able to serve you at your home or work address". Trust me if there was a legal issue, then the local county would know how to find you.  Also I have never had a process server call you in advance.  They know where you  work or live and serve you.  This is a friggin bill collector, nothing more.

A Monica Janes or Jones a Legal Cardio from the County just left me a message and said they had tried to serve me at home and work and was unsuccessful and if I didn't return the call, that legal action would be taken. What is a Legal Cardio??? :)  I called back, said she was a lawyer representing a group for a debt collection, that I don't have. I asked for several days to look into this issue and she stated that I didn't have a few days, even though she said the debt is from 2012, I asked what a few days was, it's been 4 years. She was hateful, rude and obnoxious. She refused to let me speak. Kept talking over me. She had 2 addresses for me and your telling me, you can't get me at either one? BS...Put me on hold twice, said she had to converse with her client. WHAT? She's an attorney and her client is in the same office? First time on hold, was like 3 seconds. I hung up when put on hold 2nd time.

Someone just called me a few days ago from this same number. It's bogus. Christmas is right around the corner, and these scammers are looking for money to purchase their loved ones gifts for the holiday. Lol!

Questions about signing papers about ssn # and will have to go to court if I don't reply. A scam please take care of it.

Same thing.....called me and left a message i was being served.  when i called the number back I got a Marshall Cooper who stated they don't call you only servers call you. read off information/attorney's name of my bankruptcy in september 2009 and told me i owed money for a mastercard issued in november of 2009. doubt any mastercard company would issue someone a new credit card 2 months after they had a bankruptcy. said the company her worked for was Weynon Acquisitions. can't find it on the internet. asked for proof of debt by mail and marshall informed me that they didn't have to send anything hard copy through the mail.  all they had to do was call and email you. sounds like a scam/fraud/id theft attempt to me.  he wouldn't let me talk until i asked what i supposedly owed.  as soon as he thought he would get money out of me, he got nicer.

regarding marshall cooper in my earlier post, when he stated only servers call, not the company he is supposedly with, the phone number calling me and that i was to call was the same number. phoney/fishy.

A monica james called me from this number and said they needed to get a hold of me to get my work or home address to obtain a signature regarding my ssn. If ignored or not signed it will go down as a missed court appearance and an automatic warrent. First off government knows where i live and work allready they have all the info allready so what is this lady talking about doesnt even leave a buisness name. Damn scammers get a life and leave us hard working citizens alone i never answer the number i ignore them everytime and ignore message and never call back

I have had 2 of these calls with messages stating the same thing .... Monica James  from the county???A lawsuit against my social security number ??

I just got the same voicemail

they use to leave message on my home phone now start on my cell phone always the same says from IRS and government I have lawsuit against me and I have to call that number  8776578994  is scam they want rip people off  I asked IRS they never give notice to any one by calling on the phone

This was some nonsense!  I received a call saying I needed to call back because there was an issue, legal issue tied to my social...  I call and it was for a very old debt that was resolved!!!  I am very upset and disappointed in people who are scam artists! This is not right and it bugs me!

I received the same voicemail.  Not returning their call.

I got a message from Monica Janes also telling me I was being served. A debt from 2008 which is an actual past due account but it is not mine and never was.

I LOVE that she claims to be a courier with the county and tried to serve me at home and at work and now it's out of her hands and I will miss my court date. (1) the County does not hire couriers, the Plaintiff hires process servers (2) I don't work (3) if it was actual legal documents, it would be on the court website and they cannot proceed with ANY legal action (at least in Ohio) without the Defendant being served.  This is becoming comical and I may call them back later just for fun :)

Yeah ... CFPB says if you request written documentation, they HAVE to send it.  Total scam!

same message everyone else is getting. Says she's Monica James and courier working for the county, and she has to serve me legal documents immediately etc...subpoena...prevent a court appearance...reach the "filing party" by calling the number back. Probably trying to bully money out of us regarding some old bill which she knows nothing about...whether such bill was already paid, dismissed/settled, or was erroneous to begin with. Scammer. If there really were a legit debt, why wouldn't a company just leave an honest message rather than use these lies and scare tactics?
