VM message from person posing as process server seeking to deliver legal papers that purportedly relate to a lawsuit - Using company name "legal caring services " - summons within 24 to 48 hours at home or place of employment.- two forms of ID etc. Call back #  877-664-9642 - Caller id indicates call placed by 877-688-3879. I found numerous harassment / scam/ fraud complaints on whocallsme for 877-688-3879  so they might be hiding behind this number now.

I just got the exact same call/message.  They are nothing more than one of those law firms that specializes in debt collection. They leave an absurd voicemail like that in an effort to get you to call them so they can confront you about your debt and get something on the record.  I'm officially calling their bluff because this is nothing more than another scare tactic.

I also got a call from them today, same message.

I was assigned this phone number in 2003, and since then have gotten periodic calls from people trying to collect debts from the woman who had the number before that.  Since she lived at a different address, I am not too worried about anyone showing up at my house, so I ignored the call.

This guy Charles called stating that my ssn was reported for fraud use and to call him back before it gets sent out to my jurisdiction.  

Thank you so much for this information.. i was worried.  Isnt there a law against this misrepresentation??

Just got the same call they left a voice mail and I called them back she was talking about garnish wages fraud and some other junk. I simple told her Hunni I don't know what the hell you talking about i never had emerald credit card. Plus I know i would never put any of my family down for reference this is simply bogus.

Just got same voicemail regarding my s.s.n. and possible fraud. No intentions in returning Charles Clay's ( name he is using right now)

Received a voice mail regartd Charles Clay Legal Services Attempting to deliver a summons to appear in court, etc. and for questions to call 1-844-828-7808.....I have no idea what it's about, I called left a message.....to find out what it is about. I have no debts that require collection .......

Rec'd a vim from Charles, same script as above.  Never once stated who the message was for.  I followed via Google on the phone number he was calling from, he is in New York I live clear across the country.  There is no way he can serve papers all across the country.  Since I have no outstanding debts I say this is a scam ...companies such as this prey on uninformed people. Know your rights....

I received a call from Charles Legal Serviced Clay stating he has summons that will be served in the next 24 hours at my home or place of employment. For any questions to call 844-828-7808. When I called the phone number I received a voice mail for Susan Porter. I left a message with my phone number and stated when he called he left no name to whom the message was for so I left her no name either.  

Did they ever call you back or serve you with papers?

Same as all reports above.  Left message, but did not say who call was for.  When I called back, he said it was for my husband.  Said court papers were being served unless I made a payment right then over the phone.  The number on caller ID was 844-952-7362.  He gave me a direct number of 305-677-0830.  His name was Brian Cooper.

Who are they? This is a comment about a new number, new people, same tactic, and it is Western Acquisitions Group. Letter signed by Ms. Stephanie Carter and when you call you get Samantha Jones. They talk the talk, and scare clients....threatening them. Then they settle with the clients debts that have run the statute. The money comes out of the clients accounts through a legal conduit and it is passed down to this group. Do they ever pay the original debtor? The client does not know the law, and is threatened and coerced. We need to stop this now. And there should be no legal group that takes the money and then disburses it to their client who may not be acting legally. This all has to stop. And think it is millions. If I were the IRS I would not like this, as it is tax dollars that is being lost through theft, fraud, and scamming. Yes, that is what I am intending these acts are not legal. Scaring people into behaving is fine when you have a child running across the street or about to fall into a pool, but not into adults to pay a debt that is no longer on the credit report and promise that it will be taken off the credit report.....?

Got a call from (585) 646-0572.  The first caller was from Legal Caring.  The call was threatening that if I did not respond in 24-48 hours they would come to my place of employment and home.  I called the number and spoke with Emily.  The information she provided correct.  I made payment arrangements for a small amount of $300.00 to be made in two payments.  However, after making the arrangements, I've still received calls in a threating tone.  I asked her for the complete business name:  Western Acquisitions, P.O. Box 310,  Lockport, NY 14095; Fax :  585-286-3960 (tried faxing the number was no good!!)  I asked if they accepted MoneyGram or Western Union and they said no.  She asked that I purchase prepaid Visa or MasterCard.  What type of business does not accept money in any and every form?  This company purchased an old debt and I'm not even sure they are a company.  

Never pay on a debt that is past statue of limitations. It resets the time frame.

i was contacted by western acquisitions automated message stating that they would have a process server at my home within the next 24-48 hours to serve me a summons for judgement, etc. i returned the call, and was told this is regarding a best buy credit card my wife had supposedly opened in 2006, and owed 1800 dollars on. my wife had never opened a best buy card, and has no knowledge of this debt at all. the company stated best buy merged with ********, and the debt was changed to them, so i would have to contact ******** to get more information regarding this. i was open to discussing this, and being the naturally cautious person i am, i contacted*******, ********, **********, and ****. I was told they have no record of my wife, but were able to bring up my application from 2004 for which i was denied. when contacting back the WA and informing they have no records, then i was told they purchased the debt from ******** private label, and once they did ******** removed all of the info from their system, so the only record they have is through them, and i have to pay them or it will go to judgement, because the company that opened the card removed all data from their system, and have no records at all. after being
informed of what i was told via these businesses, the rep got very rude, insulting, threatened me with legal action and jail time, and finally gave me the account number. i contacted ******** private label, who verified the account number, as being for a debt that was disputed several times from 2006, and was not for best buy, but for ********. when i contacted WA back, (after sitting through another lecture about judgements, going to court and i WILL lose, etc) i informed them this "debt" has been disputed several times, and as it is more than 7 yrs old, has been removed from my wifes credit report, and they have broken the law by using threat of legal action to attempt to collect a debt outside the 7yr window and i will be contacting a consumer affairs attorney regarding this, as it is in violation of the FDCPA laws. i was immediately hung up on, and now no one will answer the phone.
This customer had a NEGATIVE experience with this business.
This customer WOULD NOT recommend the business to a friend, family member, neighbor or colleague.
