- Denise877-682-4843. No idea who they are but won't leave a message other than to call them, which I never do.
- Pissed OffThey call everyday and do not leave a message or if they do leave a message it is for the wrong person. When I call back no one answers. How do we stop all this?
- DustinThese people are collection agents for student loans. Mine was through Wells Fargo. I told them I don't have a job, and don't have any money, but they keep calling anyway! Oh well. I just tell them about my day until they hang up.
- Caller: Collection Agent
- Gayle Galethey keep calling and leaving messages on my privacy manager.
I let them thorugh once and they haven't stopped. Wish they would stop - AmazedThis is Windham Professional, they are a student loan COLLECTION AGENCY.
Any information you give them can and WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU, to Garnish wages if you tell them where you work, to debit your checking and/or savings accounts if you give them ANY information as to where you bank. Do not deal with them or GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! If you do have an outstanding student loan, deal with the original loan originator ONLY!!!- Caller: Windham Professional
- DUH| 1 replyyou all do realize that if you try to deal with the loan originator directly they will send you to Windham, they got me on a program and got my loans out of default and off my credit, so why don't you all find something better to do then try to make it seem like they are harassing you. pay your damn bills, don't try to make excuses. you are all the reasons my kids can barley get funding to go to school these days. of course they will garnish your wages and take your taxes, YOU OWE FEDERAL MONEY YOU DUMBASS.

- ValerieI have been dealing with Wyndham for almost a year and havent had any problems with them. I had tried making several payment arrangements and on my part fell thru on all of them to the point they garnished my check on a positive note once they noticed that thru the garnishment I had gotten caught up they immediately called me and set up a payment plan which is saving me almost 400 a month!! in 3 months I can go back to school... Just talk to them, they are not that bad.

- Officer Of The U.S. District Courts.| 2 repliesFirst off, this number is a scam set up.
Anybody on here claiming some goodness out of this number calling you, is probably part of the scam or one of the scammers.
We got a few calls. Originally the numbers come through as Unavailable or Blocked Caller Id or Private. However, our lines have a tap and trace system in place. Being that these numbers belong to the Federal Courts, officers Of The Courts and the Judges themselves, all communication service providers are really happy and eager to turn over all the information about the numbers. So nothing stays hidden or secret for very long.
They called several different numbers, and all were looking for a Regina Mayberry. When questioned a couple of times about who they were, they gave several different company names, one being Windham Professionals, and when asked what hey do, a couple of responses were that they worked for the Department Of Education. Which was so funny, because they directly stated to one of the Federal Judges in our court building, when they called him on his cell phone, they were working for the U.S. Department Of Education. An easy thing to check out, at least for a U.S. Judge

And for all those Windham professional's that are cruising this board. Here is a nice piece of advice. Never continually call any federal Judge or Officer Of The Court, especially when you have been asked to not call again, and especially when it is a number to the U.S. District Court House. You really piss the courts off doing that. Now can you say Contempt Of Court?
HERE IS SOME LEGAL INFO FOR EVERYBODY. FOR A COLLECTION AGENCY TO GARNISH YOUR WAGES, THEY NEED TO TAKE YOU TO COURT FIRST. THEY CAN NOT AUTOMATICALLY JUST GARNISH YOUR WAGES. TO THREATEN YOU WITH DOING SUCH IS A VIOLATION OF THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf
Title 15 USC 1692E ss 807 Paragraph 4
§ 807. False or misleading representations
A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or mis-
leading representation or means in connection with the col-
lection of any debt. Without limiting the general application
of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this

- EDUCATOR replies to Officer Of The U.S. District Courts.| 6 repliesTHEY DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE YOU TO COURT TO GARNISH YOUR WAGES! THESE ARE FEDERAL LOANS WHICH FALLS UNDER THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND IRS. YOU ARE GIVING FALSE INFORMATION THAT WILL HURT THE PEOPLE WHO LISTEN TO YOU. NOW WHO IS THE DUMMY?!!
- stephr93They call my personal references and harass them on a daily basis about , you need to get in touch with her. This is an important matter and I must speak with them!

- Pay Attention replies to EDUCATOR| 4 repliesOnce the loan goes to a collection agency it is OWNED by the agency.
A Collection Agency that "owns your debt" can not garnish any wages without a court order.
Assume that the collection agency in their efforts to collect the debt for their client, sues the debtor and then provoke that the Court works an arrangement to pay the debt, if the arrangement includes garnishment of wages then, the Court can garnish salaries. - FYI, replies to Pay Attention| 2 repliesCollection agencies do not always own the debt. They could be servicing it for a client. In this companies case, the collection agency in question is a servicer for the dept. of education.
In the most simple form: They can garnish without court orders or judgements.
Just thought I would throw that out there.... - quit calling fora neighhor i don't know replies to FYI,| 1 replyWell fyi, you must be an employee. No one else would claim to know that. See my name? They are harrassing me to ask a neighbor I've nevrr met to call them. This IS an unlawful practice. I will be reporting them in the norning.
- Reported them replies to quit calling fora neighhor i don't knowI reported them/Windham Professionals to the Consumer Protection Division of the state of Maryland.
They called out of the blue and harrassed me at work Student loans that are in my name and those of my children are paid and up to date. They are fishing. This is a scam - -they claimed to be collecting for the originator of the loan and what they are really doing is trying to skim. I refused to give any information --even politely said I couldn't discuss this at work - -and was immediately threatened with garnishment of my wages. I advised to call me at home - -which she did. My husband had already called our loan originator who determined that it was a scam phone call - -we gave them (the originator) the information about the phone calls. Windham called two other times until my husband advised that he was turning the matter over to the CPD for Maryland. She told him that would do no good. We did and haven't received a phone call since. Imagine that! Bliss! Don't give out ANY information over the phone. If you are truly caught up on student loans or have been working with your loan originator for repayment - -don't allow these people to harrass you, turn in a complaint. - PandaKanThese guys called me 3 times stating they were just checking a reference put on a job application by my son. I had to ask the name of the company 3 times and 3 times they ran through it so fast and sloppily I still had no idea who they were. Now, my son, lives in California and I live in Colorado and we haven't spoken in decades. When I called them back I heard a very loud and unprofessional disturbance in the background, was shuffled off to another line and then the phone went dead. They called again several days later but I am not talking to them. Bunch of a** munchers.

- SeaWitch replies to EDUCATORBefore you go telling someone in the legal field what is or is not correct, do your homework "educator". The post above is absolutely correct. Even the Federal Government has to give notice and get permission to dip into a private person's accounts.
- SeaWitch replies to Officer Of The U.S. District Courts.Thank you very much for the information. These folks called a friend of mine from WAAAYYYY back to harass HER over a student loan that my current husband took out and defaulted on more than 20 years ago.....which was 10 years before we even met! They told her they were calling from the Department of Education (which they also tried to tell me at first when I called them back on behalf of my husband). I have dealt with people like this before and I work in the legal field so knew that what they were doing was illegal. It rattled "Will" enough that he tripped over his own lie and then proceeded to threaten me and my family if I did not cooperate by giving him my husband's birthdate and SSN! Yeah. Sorry folks. Anyone who thinks ANY legitimate company would do that either works for the company or has their head in the sand.
