I got a call from a Lee Sterns asking me to call him back as soon as possible at the 877-688-8228, extn 113.  I don't call people back that either 1. don't identify the company they are calling from or 2. don't state what they are wanting me to call them back for.  I won't bother calling him back.

guess the only people that will be employed in this economy are these zombie debt collectors. they buy up portfolios for pennies on the dollar then extort the full charged off amount plus interest from the consumer that probably would have paid the damn bill if they had a job to earn the money to pay the thing in the first place.  sol has expired on most all of this type debt and they are the crooks extortionists profiting off those of us who are already so far under the dirt we may as well be dead. we may be soon anyway since not working so can't even buy food let alone pay a old cc bill. puke.

I got a call from a Lee Sterns with the number listed above and Ext 113; however, each time I call, I seem to receive only a recording.  Are these people legitimate and how far can they go back to collect what one thinks has already been paid?

Got a call from a Logan Scott asking me (he called me by my first name) to call him back as soon as possible at the 877-688-8288. ext 132. I dont have any debts that I currently owe and I wont bother calling back either after reading this message string!  I've got enough problems.

This is a scam.

Someone named Casey (female) and a guy named Lee Sterns (He has a few other names) have been calling, and usually

just hang up. "Lee Sterns" also seems to have a few different accents, too.

I talked to them once and they said I owed money on an old credit card. I asked for verification and "Lee Sterns"

got angry. I called my bank (my only credit card is through my bank) and they said all was well. I also have an

excellent credit score.

I think DCS is a front for a company called Equitable Recovery Solutions I (Ersi Recovery). They have the same

physical address, which I've listed below.

Incidentally, I started receiving calls from AACC at the same time I started receiving calls from DCS. The calls

often happen within minutes of each other. All of the calls stopped for a few months, and then one day both DCS and

AACC started calling again, within minutes of each other. I have no proof that they are connected, but that can't

just be a coincidence.


Anyways, don't do business with these scumbags. Hang up on them and contact the Illinois State Attorney General:

11/12/09 I have been getting calls from this number as well from a female named Brooke. 1 877 688 8288 ext 107. telling me its in my best interest to call her right away. When I called they were down right rude telling me that i owed money on a debt from more than 12years ago. They could not provide any details about the matter so i hung up. I am now getting calls from a AACC company as well. Cant anyone stop these people????

I got a call today informing me that I have a delinquent SEARS acct that was put in collections.  I never had a SEARS account.  It was scary the information they had on me such as past addresses and an incorrect birthday!  But they DO HAVE my social security number!  They want a payment from me for an astronomical figure!  Did they honestly think I was just going to fork over the money without an investigation?  The furtherest my investigation got me was this site!  I am not paying them, PERIOD!  But I do fear what they can possibly do to my credit.  And why is this showing up all of a sudden?  This dates back, according to this company, from 1992!

they provide no information just threats...you ask them what its about they won't tell you, you ask them what this is in reference they call you a [***]....

unless they provide you with proper answers instead of threats do not provide any money or account numbers to anyone....

Just got a call from them this morning....the direct number that showed up up my caller ID was
(815) 756-7590.....but got a voicemail from a woman named "BROOKE"  from DCS saying it was an urgent matter and i needed to call her back ASAP  at 877-688-8288 etx. 123....but after seeing this, im not callin the number back...thank God for the Call Blocker App because these number will be added!

I applied for a job online... with a back ground check and a credit check... I paid $50 for it... Im an insurance agent now... a survivor of domestic violence... I have not fully recovered from all the abuse... so I changed my name... moved to Florida... but my social is still the same... so this lady Casey Thomas calls me this morning....blocked number...she is really ignorant.. at first I asked her why she was talking to me like a dog... I hung up... then I started doing my research... they told me I owed 1700 from a Sears bill back in 1993... almost 20 years ago... that was written off a long long time ago... I paid my debt to society... I could not buy a car... I couldn't work from the abuse made me disabled... but now I am trying to start a new career and this comes up... Please they have to go after my exhusband...not me... he took all kinds of fraud credit cards out in my name... I was married to the creep for only a year and half and have 2 kids... they are now 20 and 22 and live on their own... so finally after calling and calling DCS... which I thought was child support... lol and they told me I had a watch it on my social security number... and that when ever a back ground check was made on me that it would come up that I owe a debt for 1600$ from 1993... for any employer... well I have been in business for 4 years now and none of this old stuff even the misdemeanor criminal record has never been used against me... and the "watch it" can stay no that social security number with thier company... and they take their job and shove it... I don't need to work for barbaric people like this... this is sick... I am a good person... I work hard... I am trying to get my credit straight from this nightmare marriage... and I have been divorsed since 1991... I have never remarried and no one gets my information... I am made a big mistake filling out that background information for that work from home job... this just happened to me today... what do you do about it.. they said it is showing up as a watch it from my social security number... this is scary... I wouldn't pay that debt was written off a long time ago... before the laws changed... I just got lucky and waited my 7 years and moved on... so what can they do from here...

You do nothing about it!  These people are total bottom feeders that have been sued multiple times.  DO NOT ANSWER next time they call and you can also send a cease and desist letter.  The run this "business" out of an old shack in Dekalb, Illinois.  Do not give them a dime, soon enough they will have to close shop.

I got this paper in the mail and i dont now this place at all and i am not going to pay for it at all and i try to call the # and no body pick up at all thay say i have to pay 378.72 and i well not pay some thing i didnt get so i hope it get fix .

They did the same thing to me today and said it was JCPenny. We have never had an account there!! I worry about my our credit too. They said my husbands was 2004. If it makes you feel better, we have had a credit check and we have wonderful credit. If it were going to hurt us, it would have done so before now I think.

I received a call at my ex-mother in-law's home yesturday.  first of all I havent used my previous last name for 20 years now.  I am currently married, and my name has changed since then.  This company said that I owe a balance of $109.90 and had an interest since purchased of .75 cents.  This account has been paid off 20 years ago.  The funny thing is that interest of .75 cents, come on!.  So I asked Ms. Molly Baker how long ago was this account in default and she said that it was about 15 years ago, back in the 90's, but couldn't give me the true date.  If you know about this account so much, then you should also know that this account was in the 80's not the ninetys.  GO FIGURE!, That goes to show you that all people have to do is look into your past credit history and they can get that information.  So when I told her that that account was closed and paid off, she said it couldn't be.  She even called my job, can't wait for her to return the call.

You big babies make me sick. If you never paid money you owe you still owe it! No matter how long. you try to avoid it! Look up the FCRA. Old debt can't be re-recorded to your credit report but you still OWE! Pay for what you rightfully owe. Provide proof if you don't. Its that simple. Anyone who is honest would.
