This must be a fund-raising company - they asked me for money for CARE.

I got a call from here and after answering it took a few seconds but then a woman was on the line and said she was from CDS or LDS International (must have been MDS) making calls on behalf of a Bible organization I had donated to before.  She was nice, it sounded completely legit.  We'll see if they keep calling even though they've contacted me and gotten an answer...

This number is from MDS which is a fund raising contractor for various charities and organizations. If you go to their home page you will find information and a link to their "Do Not Call" list. To be removed from them calling you for five years, simply follow that link and fill out the simple form with your name and phone number.

5/7/10 - 6 p.m. - Called, didn't answer.  How sad to be violated in our home by unwanted callers.  If I break my elderly leg trying to get to the telephone, who do I sue???

Received a call from this #, left it go to voice mail. It was from World Vision talking about a 30 famine program.

Sue yourself. If you don't want cells, then don't answer the phone or don't have a phone

Call repeatedly almost every day-different times.
Pick up--no one on other end.
Does the Do-not-call list not work any longer.

I do not answer callers whose name is "unavailable" and who do not leave messages. I have used their (MDS Communications) Do Not Call function.  We will see if it works.  Leave off the /home.htm in the URL listed above-otherwise you get a page not found.

When did the no call list ever work?
Who is checking on those irritating callers?

@ stephen...I feel your pain...!  So many telemarketers-at least someone is working! Thanks for this post-Now I know who it is! After you enter in in your cell-you can select the silent tone...you will never hear it when they call....heck with them...lol

This number keeps calling my house but wont leave a message.  I am on the Do Not Call Registry.  And yet this number calls my house day and night including weekends.
