This # called my girlfriend cell phone this morning.Casey Price was very rude to my girlfriend. She disclosed info and implied that i needed representation. I called and they were talking about a bill that happened 8 yrs ago. I live in Wa and Wa is a closed state, and most of the files they have are past statute of limitation to recover. So even paying it off wont help. Scammers like this make it hard for a real collector like me to make money. Do no pay these guys.

This number constantly calls early in the morning asking for my uncle or whoever represents him. The caller is always rude and my uncle isn't in any trouble.

Husband talked to them today, and the fact that  i did collections for 10 years, I know these people are trying to collect old debts that were wrote off "scavenger debts"  he asked for them to send him information and they said they wouldnt until he committed to paying them  "he said NO"  PEOPLE do not committ to them, more than likely these are debts that are way way past the Statute of Limitations and if you committ to paying them without proof on paper the Statute starts over again.....THEY CANNOT SUE YOU    tell them this debt is past the Statute of Limitations and try and take you to court!!!  If this was a legitimate debt they would have no problem sending you any paperwork at all!!!!  If you can get their address this is the letter you send them, first check the statute of limitations in your state.

I just got a call from CRA - Nancy Henry - Asking to speak to me. Of Course I said I wasn't home. She said the matter was extreme important and I might not aware of the situation.This lady sounded very firm but would not release any other information.
At first I was concerned. But I realized that the number they called was a Cell phone and IT'S in my wife's name. I ask her to send information certified mail so that she could make sure I got the information. She refused and said the call was a one time only thing.

I then asked "So We shouldn't expect any further calls?" She just replied that it's important I call them back. Fat chance lady!!!!  

The call came from: 864-845-2084 a Piedmont SC Land Line.

Yes they called and lest a message on my answering machine regarding an *IMPORTANT* message...yea right what a scam.... when my boyfriend called back and asked about anything they needed they refused to give anything out like what their company was what the cra stood for they wouldn't say anything..Everyone beware dont even confim its you speaking act like your someone else..block the number to many scammers these days

C r a called me from that  877 number said it was extremly important i didnt let them know it was mean that was the rudest call ever i asked c r a stood for she wouldnt tell i asked what it was regarding to she wouldnt tell me she made it seem like i had a warrant or someone died its a scam she said i had 2 hours to call back or else

877-704-9452 called me. The caller identified herself as Sara Kitchen but indicated no agency name. I told her I wasn't home but would take a message. She said the call was regarding case #1786642 and they needed a "statement" from me for some "preliminary paperwork." Sounds like a crock of sh*t to me.

It is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for a debt collector to communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than the consumer, his attorney, or a consumer reporting agency.  15 U.S.C. §1692c(b).  It is also a violation to use unfair or unconscionable means to collect or attempt to collect any debt.  15 U.S.C. §1692f.  It is also a violation to use of any false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt or to obtain information concerning a consumer.”  15 U.S.C. §1692e(10).  Also, “The false representation of the character, amount, or legal status of a debt….” 15 U.S.C. §1692e(2).  Also, “A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt.”  15 USC §1692e.  Also, “A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt.”  15 U.S.C. §1692d.  Also, a debt collector must send you written notification of the debt within 5 days of initial communication.  15 U.S.C. §1692g(1)(2) and (4).
In Washington, a debt collector may not “Communicate or threaten to communicate, the existence of a claim to a person other than one who might be reasonably expected to be liable on the claim....”  RCW 19.16.250(9).

Same thing here, a person that was named Sara said it was urgent that me or my rep. call her because of a serious matter............Like right dude.

I got a call on my work line from this # 877-704-9452 from a "Sherri" and then I called back to confirm what this was about and see what CRA was... They asked me for my direct#. I would not give it to them; I also did not give my last name so I gave them the "claim" they gave me earlier on their first call and sure enough after the lady said she'll check on this, she hung up on me. So this is a scam; although I don't know what info they are seeking--so beware!

I am Sheryl's Mother, Ruth Clinton.  This person - Kelly Shelley (spelling?) - called my number to get ahold of my daughter.  I asked her what she wanted and she wouldn't tell me.  I told her that most 877 calls were scam calls, and she hung up.  Date: 11/10/2010 8:30 a.m.

Got a call from CRA this morning too on my cell phone which is in my husbands name.  They also called my work and asked for me by my maiden name in which my employer does not list me as.  They told them I did not work there.  I tried to call this 877-704-9452 Kasey Price from CRA left me this morning and i sat on hold FOREVER, no one ever came on the line.  From what I can find out they are trying to collect an old debt from me from a Qwest bill I had more than 7 years ago.  I will not pay them a dime for this because as many others have stated, they refuse to send documentation by mail...My attorney told me they by law have to notify you by mail of any debts owed or in order to seek legal action upon anyone!

I just got a call from them looking for my wife and when i called back, 2 of them hung up on me in mid convorsation and the 3rd person told me not to call them back ever again. what a scam.

keep receiving calls on my cell phone (in my maiden name) for my husband, we are newly weds and do not share any accts.    attitude and threatening type messages, must call back today.  she leaves 877-704-9452 as cell phone says "Bobbie", as her call back.   He does not have any unpaid debts.  I've heard On-Star has done this type of thing to keep people enrolled, we only had free trial and one 3-month promo paid at time of call.........the 757-271-1549 number that is caller ID, is CRA (I called both numbers back) and is recording to hold, yeah right, take your time, I'll wait......

I got a call from a company calling themselves CRA from 757-271-7549 at 8:55am EST today.  They said they were trying to collect a debt.  I asked what debt was that?  they said they were pulling it up and before he pulled it up he asked me if my name was bruce carson.  I said NO.  Then he asked me if i knew anyone named "Bruce", I said NO.  Then he asked me if my name was Jimmie.  I said NO.  Then he asked me if my name was Ramone.  I said NO, why are you asking me all these names?  I also told them i've had this number for a solid 10 years.  He said he took my name out of the system.  they clearly had the wrong info.  sounded shady.
