Got a call for my old room mate who I tried contacting but her phone number has been shut off. BUT??? Since I was only listed as an emergency contact, how was this (what I believe to be a collection agency) agency able to attain my old room mates personal medical record to pull the "In case of emergency" contact info? Are there no laws that protect our private information? Watch out CRA. I will take action against you if I find out you tapped into personal medical record for collection information and I and the courts will bring you up on charges and hold you accountable for your underhanded business ethics. I will be doing an investigation so I hope your ducks are in a row...Mine are.

THis company called me first calls started a few days ago.  They left a message saying who they were and that they were looking for "me" and that the number they had idenfifyed me.  they went on to say that either myself or whomever is representing me needs to call them ASAP.  I first of all have no clue what they are talking about, then when I told the crabby minimum wage Beeach, that I was at work and to make it fast, she , get this...She says well this is of an inportant medical matter and this call can't be rushed.  I assured her she was going to be the only one with a problem if she called back.  WHO ARE THESEE PEOPLE, they refuse to truly identify themselves.. SHADY.... Thats ok , because we so have a family attorney on staff and now I've got their number........

CRA was sued back in 2008 for collection activity in the state of Arizona without a valid financial license. They have since obtained a license, and thus can contact residents of the state for collection purposes.

Too bad that license doesn't free them from the federal statutes of the FDCPA; I'm sure my attorney if going to be very interested to hear the voice message they just left, which implied a potential legal matter - especially when I know for certain that any debts I have are outside the state statute of limitation for legal action.

Who are these people and how did they get my husbands phone number?!?! They were telling him I better call immediatly and that it's an emergency, wtf?

These people called me, too (CRA), and they like to sound like they are some sortof Law Enforcement AGency, and I think thats very shady and unethical.

I started receiving these calls about 1 year ago on my house phone when I turned my house phone off now they are calling me on my cell phone. I do not know who they are or what they what but they do have my name and now my cell phone. I do not response to any collection agency if that who they are I will deal only with whom I owe. I would like to know who they are so I can file a complaint against them

This is a number from Consumer Recovery Associates. They called my dad looking for me for I don't know what since it's been years since I've opened any lines of credit or had a credit card. i use cash for everything now. Most likely it's a debt for something beyond the statute of limitations if it's even mine at all.

Debt collection agency! It's a scare tactic the female use...stating she needs for me or my personal rep to contact her. I am my own rep.....and get the heck away!

If you get a call from these people, call the Federal Trade Commission ASAP at 877-382-4357.
This company appears to be attempting identity theft and fraud.

received calls from these morons. said to call back asap. the reps were very rude and even hung up. they even asked for banking info which i did not give them. this is a scam.

Got a hang up call from them yesterday and then they left a message this morning saying they needed "Makeeba" (not my name, I don't know any Makeeba) or who represents her, to call back their office asap.  I was planning to call back and say they had the wrong phone number for Makeeba, but I did not call back after reading these posts.

I got a few messages from this number, asking for a person I have never heard of, saying they need to call them back or their legal rep!! wth is this???

Wouldn't tell me who or what CRA was don't have a case or file number and are not so and so and for your. Phil answered and said well if your sake I hope you are not so and so..... Who can we call to report this?
