A man named "Jason Kohl" called my friend at her work place and was extremely rude.  He said that he was looking for someone there and that he had called them every hour.

A rude caller, that is calling a business and is rude to the people that do not know him or the person he is trying to reach.

Unkind, and perhaps illegal.  There should be a law against it.

These people have been calling me for at least 2 years. They never say what they want, have left numerous messages asking for someone I don't know, they say to return their calls and when I do no one answers. When I have spoken to them in person, they are exceedingly rude. I owe no one any money, and have no outstanding bills. This is a scam and a racket, and I hope that n one succmbs to their strong arm tactics.

yes we call you guys becuase you guys owe a debt to the us department of education your best is to call us back and see how you can cancel your debt or work out a small pymnt plan

These people have called my place of emplyment and have finally contacted my personnel office which could cause me to loose my job. Isn't this a violation of some kind? PLEASE HELP!

They're calling your personnel office to garnish your wages cause you're in FEDERAL DEFAULT.  Pay your bill.

We receive numerous calls per week from this number and it's always a recorded message....several per day and at all different times.  I tried to phone them today to find out what company they were and why they continue to call me and all he gave me was his name and wanted to know my phone number and then he would help me.  I told him you should already have it because you call enough..he didn't like that answer and said that if I didn't give him the number he couldn't help me.  If numbers like these are suppose to be blocked and you register various numbers on the DO NOT CALL list, how is it that these people/companies/recordings get thru and how are they making any money?  These people/companies are nothing but RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever happened to the days of graduating from college and getting a GOOD paying job!? Screw the US Dept of Education, they just want everybody to be slaves to debt. They can't get any money from us as we are struggling post-education and everything like rent, gas and food keeps going UP! Hmm let me think, I'll pay my college loan bill before I pay my rent, that makes alot of sense.

I'm not sure who this is, they were calling me too at my workplace. I finally looked it up online & faxed them a letter telling them that they do not need to contact me at my place of employment anymore. If they needed me, the would have to contact me at my email address on file- I figure everyone I really have anything to do with has my email address, therefore if its legit, they'll contact me there.
Hmmm...I have yet to receive an email from them, which leads me to believe its a scam. The name "Jason Kohl" referenced in the first posting on this page sounds familiar...I think this is the one that was calling me. He IS very hateful and needs to learn how to have a conversation without threatening people.
I do understand that collections people are "attempting to collect a debt, and any information obtained.....blah, blah, blah" HOWEVER, there is no need to be ugly and to threaten people in order to do that.

I had a message from this number and returned the call to a person named Christopher.  He said he was calling about my husband being default on a student loan.  I explained that it had to be a mistake because my husband went through college on the Marine Corp's dime.  He asked for more info on my husband...specific info so that he could investigate the issue more.  I told him I wasn't comfortable providing that info being that I wasn't sure the call was valid.  He accepted the limited and vague info I gave him, looked into the issue and apologized twice for calling us by mistake.  He was very professional and polite.  I'm sorry some of you had a bad experience...maybe try asking for the Christopher person.

Caller left a message stating they were with the federal government.

FDCPA dosn't allow a collection agency to communicate via e-mail! give them your home/cell and get it taken care of!

Was contacted by this number and it started pleasant enough, but when statements were made about being unsure if it was a scam, and we didn't want to give them financial information over the phone, they began berating me, would not listen, launched into a tirade that we hung up on them because they wouldn't calm down. They threatened me and became unprofessional when I told them I doubted them. They told me to google this number to find their website which looks very hokey. The scary part was how much of my personal information these people had. They shouldn't be able to have access to every piece of your life.

A Gentleman (and I use the term loosely) by the name of Roman Castillo called me and threatened me.I did turn him in to the local Sheriff and the District Attorney and I called the Attorney General for our state as well. If ths gentleman calls my answering service again,He will be arrested. Beware SIR,I will have you closed down and arrested if you call and threaten me again! I sent a copy of the tape I had my aswering service make to the local authorities for your prosrcution.I will sue not only the  company you work for, but you as a personal lawsuit as well!

The gl that I work with told me that this little "black" sounding gal called the place that I work.She told her that She was from a Federal Agency.That is a lie.Collections cannot state that they are from a Federal Agency.They must by law, state that they are a collections company.I don't particularly care for a black gal caing me unless She wants to "day work" for me.All calls are now sent to the law enforcement agency in our town and to the DA in our town and to the Attorney General for prosecution.The same goes for my home phone.I take the tape down on a weekly basis and keep a weekly journal of their calls.The gal's name was Diyon Lee.extension 8473.Miss Lee is hereby enjoined from ANY further calls of a harrassing nature.

A gal by the name of Nina Anderson called me at work.She could not could not understand what I told her so She went and got her supervisor who was a rude Negro.He asked me why I had such a deadbeat job? He threatened to call my boss.He tried to extort $2300.00 dollars from me within a two week period.I am calling not only the Sheriff's Office in my town but the one in his and the DA here and the DA in his town as well.I am also caling the BBB in his town to report him and his company as well.You wil hear from my lawyers Miss Nina Anderson and your negro boss as well.By the way,The gal you called was NOT me.She DID rcord your phone call and I am taking the tape down tomorrow morning to the Sherriff's Office and our DA,Have a NICE DAY!! THE Sheriff wil be waiting for you!The DA wil be looking inot my case as well!!!!

I was called recently by representative of Collect Corp.  Carra Forty told me I needed to pay the full balance immediately.  I told her I couldn't as I had been laid of and was taking care of a baby with down syndrome.  I am also a single mother who is living off AFDC.  I asked to speak to her supervisor and got a man named Alan Johnson.  He then began to belittle me saying I was a deadbeat and that my welfare would be garnished.  It's holidays and I can't even pay my bills let alone buy Christmas presents for my son.  I called the Department of Education and they said there was a program I qualified for where I would send in my income and copies of my bills and I would be saved.  I also made a complaint against the representative and her supervisor.  These "people" are bullies and money hungry and need to be locked up!

These criminals keep calling me asking for someone I do not know.
I have had my number over 5 years and I do not owe anyone a past due amount.
