A restricted call from "MCS" came to my mother's phone.  The young lady left a message...garbled...the clear parts were her first name, "Kerry"- Rawlins(inaudible).  She said she was a process server with "the state", and that she and the "local authorities" were scheduled to come to my home or place of employment to serve me with a court summons to appear in court on an active "assault" charge....at first I thought she said "fraud", but she went on to repeat the information and CLEARLY said I needed to contact the "law office" in regard to this "ASSAULT" charge at this number. She then gave me a  "CASE" number.  I called the number and the recording says, "You have reached MCS.  If you know your party's extension, please dial it now.  This is an attempt to collect a debt:..........wt????? I am posting this, and going, POST-HASTE, to the sites of the BBB, the Attorney General's Office, and the Federal Trade Commission---in THAT order, to file official complaints....THEN, I am going to file a CIVIL complaint against them, noting FDCPA Violations number 8 and 9 respectively---which disallow debt collectors to: 1 - "threaten action that they CANnot or WILL not take...", and "ILLEGALLY inform a 3rd party......."........This is a whole mess seeing how I HAVE had a lapse in judgment in the past that caused me to be enthralled in the legal system----an issue I have since resolved and continue to work past and THROUGH, and they call me with THIS???!!!!...I am mentally and emotionally all OVER the place---a DIRECT result of their misguided attempt to get me to call about a debt----ASSAULT????-----really.....
