Whatever happened to the DO NOT CALL list? I sign up for it every year but they seem to get my number anyhow.

I received a call yesterday from "Bank of America" (?)saying I was past due $283.00 which must be paid by January 28th - having had problems already with this Visa company I said this could not be true. I never use my Visa Card # any more; am just paying off the balance.  After discussing this for 5 or 10 minutes he checked (?) with his supervisor.   Bank of America had returned my Sun Trust check in early November (I received a letter dated November 27 saying the reason was becasue they did not take copies of checks.  This was NO copy....I sent another Sun Trust check which they seem to have no record of.  Today I notice a charge on my December Visa of $149.95 from Easy Saver.  Called them;  alked to a young lady named Kemba who said she would cancel the order and gave me an order #----.  Google says this company is a rip-off and I believe it.  I have never ordered a catalog from anyone and certainly not for $149.95.  What can be done about company rip-offs??  I am a senior citizen who retired from banking and do not appreciate being duped.

Do not give any info to these no. Its a scam.  They do not answer Bankofamerica credit dept. They DONOT EVEN SAY HELLO. They just want your account info. I am definitey reporting them.

got a message today I believe a little before 5:00 pm on an ansuring mashine that said they were from Bank of Americard services and to call back at 8777335734 at extention 28903 did not get name have no caller ID.  Should I contact someone for the call back, to  possibly trace.  I will not call unless someone tells me I should in order to get them.

Received a message on my machine stating it was Donny Romo from Bank of America card services, please call us back at 877-733-5734.  Called them back and they wanted me to verify my info...it sounded phishy, so I said no you tell me if you have the correct information.  They gave the wrong address and wrong middle initial.  I said do not call this number ever again.

I called the real Bank of America to see if they were trying to contact me, tney were not...it's a total scam.

called for a former co-worker.  suspicious sounding voice, wouldn't say where they were from until I asked and she just said "card services."  Suspicious enough to warrant a google search.

It just sounds different because they have to maintain the identity of the affiliate program such as Sun Trust Bank or Sports Illustrated.
Yes, you can indeed work with them, they are NOT a scam!

So then why are so many people that received these calls...the REP gives them the wrong information?  Wrong account, wrong address?....

They ask you for your account #, or SSN number to verify the account...but if you ask them to give you the account # or address....IT IS WRONG!!  If they were in fact working as an affiliate for BoA..then they would have all the correct information!  DUH!!!!

Got a call from a Ms Davina Tatch regarding a credit accout with BofA.  Left no. 877 733 5734 for me to call back.  I checked this site first.  So I did not call.  Thanks.

Representative left a call back number of 877-733-5734 to discuss a recently established payment plan on my account.  I called the known number on the BACK OF MY CARD... always use that number - they can redirect your call to the proper department if the requested call back is valid.  Turns out this one was a valid call back request for me.

I receieved a call today from an Andrea Rios who said she was with Bank of American and that she had important information to discuss with me about my account dating back to April 14, 1998. After reading the previous posts this appears to be a scam or phishing scheme. I am not calling back but wanted to let folks know this is happening.

we received a call today from "FIA Card Services" with the same phone# listed in all of these reports 877-733-5734. A lady named "Mrs Thomas" wanted us to call her back about "existing business we had with them". I have read these posts and see that some people were told it was Bank of America- which we do have a credit card with- but we do not want to call them back if all the information this FIA place gives you is wrong??? Not sure- maybe they will have to call us back while we are home.

This number comes up as "Card Services" on the caller ID, and they have called both my work number and my home number several times over the last three weeks.  It is always a different person, and they all say that they handle "several pieces of business" for me, but I only have one Bank of America card, and the customer service number on the bill is not this number.  I am very suspicious.

Got a call, on my cell from unknown number.... He kept asking for me by last name, I kept asking him who he was calling from. He would say "card services" and ask if I was Mr.___. To which I responded "which bank are you calling from?" He would say he can only speak to Mr.___, I asked him again who he was representing....This went on and on and I told him we were at an impasse as I was not telling him if Mr.___ was available until he told me who he worked for.  He then started yelling the same question back...I said "goodbye" and hung up.

He called back and left a VM; saying this is Terrence from Card Services, please call us back at 877-733-5734 about some business we do with you.....

Yea ok....wait by the phone until I call back!!!

I received call,. almost everyday.  Even though person is no longer working in my work.  I explain them he is no longer working here but they keep calling back.  I asked what's regarding. they said It is personal business they can't discuss with me. They said they are Bank of America. It is annoying. But I ignored them even they keep change name whom they are looking for. Name spelling is not correct and they want Correct name. I don't give out.

This is bank of america collections department (which goes by FIA Card services due to servicing other banks credit cards also), the reason they are calling is because you are past due on your bill, I am a previous employee that used to work in the collections department, they are shady because the people who are not paying their bills are not going to call back so they are finding different ways to get a hold of you without sharing your personal info.  They can't say to anyone but you (and yes they must verify it's you) that you have a card with them or that it is past due.

They called me and the auto service wanted my "account info." So I put in some bogus numbers til I got a guy. He was "Steven T" but sounded like "Achmed H." Dont have a card with bank of america, got a bank account, no card. They were calling for me to "talk about options" to pay my business card, which I dont have. After a few questions I got sourced to the actual bank of america collection department (they have their own).  Hmmmm.... these people who "work" for bank of america, yah i dont think so. Probably paid by the same scammers who are calling you.

A woman with a Spanish-sounding name (ending in -ez) called on Thursday. A different woman called today. The Thursday call (message on machine) said that she was calling from "Card Services." The woman today said she was with Bank of America. I do *not* have a Bank of America account of any sort. I'm simply going to report them to the Attorney General of North Carolina!
