Unknown # calling no answer.

I have gotten two calls from this number in th last week.  Said they have a file on me and I have to call them.  When I call, nobody is there and there is no company name either.  Does anyone know who these people are?

I have received several phone calls from this number.  I returned the call to tell them to stop calling and a man answered and said they were collecting a debt and were going to sue.  I didn't give them any information and I hung up.  Definately not legit.  He said they were attorneys.

This company is not legit.  They admitted to buying an old lead list.  They do not have accurate information.  

Tell them to send the proof of debt in the mail and to stop calling or you will report them.  They are a scam just trying to victimize unknowing people out of money.  

Know your consumer rights!  hopefully the authorities will go after them soon

Gordon with Legal Prevention Services called and stated that if I don't confirm the information they had (I refused), then they would proceed with the "lawsuit", I said "Okay, well send all the information to where ever it is they have on file, and I will respond accordingly" He said "Frankly Ma'am, we are NOT a collection agency, and we will just have to proceed with this lawsuit" then hung up. I'm guessing it is a scam because the address he was trying to get me to confirm was over 8 years old...

These idiots called and left some message that sounded vaguely threatening. I promptly called them back and told them I didn't know who they were trying to call and to take the number off of their list. He said they would. I doubt they will. They will probably flag the number as good and continue to call.

I had another company do the same and I simply called my local police department filed a harassment charge, called the company back and give them the case number for the charge. they stopped calling.

I don't know what kind of losers take these jobs or why they get such excitement out of it, but you can bet there's a special place in hell reserved for them right next to tow-truck drivers and child molesters.

Yes, they've called me repeatedly.  Definitely a scam.  I called back from a pay phone (after finding one!) and yelled at them for a bit.  Won't do any good, but why not?

they called me and told me that they would file a law suit to collect an old account that was setteled.  I told them to go ahead and waste their money and I'll see them in court.  they claim to have documentation for the debt but have never produced it.  a scam with an old list.

This company is taking advantage of trying to say they are attorneys.  Attorneys do not call you up and advise you are being arrested.  You cannot go to jail for not paying a debt.  They
pull this one on my friend that they sent something to her.  She made the mistake of calling them back
and giving her new address. The credit card was an old debt that is past the State limitations.  They told her it did not matter as it was a 2nd chance credit card!  She made payment arrangements and then ask
for valid proof.  

They never did give her valid proof of this debt and not even the credit card number.  She has filed a complaint with Attorney General Office in NY and FTC.

This company address is a Hanger #402 in Cheektowaga NY and is SCAM  

Do not pay them a penny until they can provide Valid Proof.  They told her if they sent her proof that that
they could not offer a discount which is untrue.

Asking for a lady named Terry? I told them that Terry is not in our household and he wanted to speak to this person, This was the 2nd time that they'e called me..

These people have been calling myself and my family for the last three weeks. They threaten to take me to court if I do not acknowledge my intent on the debt.  Last I checked leaving more than their name, phone number and request to call back was a privacy violation since they can't confirm whether they have the right number.  And they claim to be attorneys?  Sounds like a scam to me!  Won't be calling them back.

They called me too. i checked with my old bank and they dont know any legal prevention services. the bank said they sold my account to someone else. when i called them back they were lost for words to say the least

Called from unknown number asked for me to call back however I looked on hear first. Thank you all for posting that is what I thought it was

Person by the name of Kyle Sterling and a Gordon person keep calling me. They say there with Legal Prevention Services. A payday loan people named Anasazi group say I owe 500.00 back in November 2012. I don't recall getting a loan from them. I asked for more proof, send me some documentation on this. They won't, they want money now or legal matters will be taken. What do u do?

Caller said they had a complaint filed against my SS#.   When I called back they asked a series of questions, but they person they were asking about was not me.   She "said" she would remove my contact number.  (which they should never had)

I've got numerous calls from Gordon saying they r going to take legal action. Don't know about them but something is fishy

I got the exact same thing. Did anything happen with you? Did they serve you. They threaten to garnish my wages and that the company is out in the Bahamas and that I would have to obey by there laws there. Same people same company. This is as of yesterday 12/02/14

I got a call 1-22-15 from legal prevention services saying I iwe an outstanding balance with best buy . They didn't even have the correct information and when I called best buy they said my acct is current and good standing and they have no information concerning the fake acct LPS claims .best buy said they are running a scam just don't tell them anything
