Good bye Wells Fargo.  There are many other banks in this country of the USA.  Bad choice to let our info out to these "Toll Free Callers"  Hope your not on the bail out list!

This number belongs to National Union Fire Insurance Co. They claim to be telemarketing on behalf of Wells Fargo.

Update to my earlier comment: This is not actually National Union, but a company called Influent, calling on behalf of National Union, on behalf of Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo sure likes to share my personal information with a lot of people.

I'm an Influent employee (the hired third party calling), and I will try to explain the way everything works to the best of my ability.  Wells fargo provides a list of customers and numbers to be called to the National Union Fire Insurance Company, which then provides the list to us.  We try to contact customers, until a max attempt is met, which is set by the client, which is in this case Wells Fargo.  The reason there is no caller on the line sometimes, is because we use an automated dialer, which dials a handfull of numbers at once and goes to the first availible agent.  As stated we are calling to offer insurance producs underwriten by NUFIC, this is not a scam, when you ask a banker at a local branch or even through the Telebank, most Wells Fargo employees are unaware of our program, but I can assure you if you contact the Wells Fargo corporate office they can verify to you we ARE a legitamit company. As for the poeple that say "I'm on the NATIONAL do-not call list, any company you have had a business relationship within the past 18 months are legaly allowed to call you, the best thing I can tell you is to ask polietly to be put on the WELLS FARGO do-not call list.  I know the calls are frustrating, but Influent is a business, which has a call centers to pay for, employees checks to be issued, and quotas to meet to keep or clients, and or jobs along with that, which is also why we are very persistant.  Please understand we are just average people doing our jobs, trying to make a legitimate living.

Wells Fargo, calling to sell insurance on behalf of AIG. (or Wells supplied the name to AIG).  They've called often, first time I picked it up though.

It calls EVERYDAY and I have put my number under their "DO NOT CALL" and still they persist to call everyday!  Very annoying and it's not even a person, it's a recording.  I am getting livid about these frequent calls!

calls every day 877-740-3335, leaves no message (thank God for caller ID).  Last call made at about 8 pm on 12-23-08.  If I called someone daily and left no message I would be harrassing them, subjected to fines and possible imprisonment, yet these companies go unscathed with the harrassment issue

Like the person above stated. Just call the number back and a voice propt will walk you through getting removed from the list. You don't ever talk to an actual person and it takes all of 30 seconds.

And "employee" I know you think you are just doing your job but the real problem people have here is a) Wells Fargo dishing out our contact information and b) if you are going to call me, at least have someone there to say hello when you reach me. I don't care if it is an automated system or not. Say something when I pick up or don't freaking call me.

The Wells Fargo solicitors called at 9:07 am.  I called them back and followed the prompts to be removed from their list; however, it takes 5 days to process and 10 days for it to be complete. Who knows how many more phone calls we will get before the timeframe is up.

I receive calls every single day from this number. I work the grave yard shift at work so, everytime I get a call from these guys, I'm usually trying to get some sleep/rest. It is extremely aggravating to have to get up only to see the same damn number on my caller Id every day... If people don't answer these calls, get the point! Stop calling!

Called several times now as well. I wouldn't advise giving your phone number to a telemarketer. Our phone has a built in block feature and these parasites are now on it. I will also re-evaluate my banking relationship with Wells Fargo.

I get calls from this number frequently.  My wife has bank accounts with Wells Fargo, so in light of the above, I understand the calls.

To those critical of "employee", above:  the person really /is/ just doing his job.  He isn't the one putting the lists together.  I agree that the technology ought to be better, so that someone comes on the line after you say "hello" without an intervening 10 second (or longer) delay.  But the problem is with the bank, if there's any problem at all; not with the third party company hired to make the calls.  At some point, Wells Fargo presented you with a choice to receive, or not, solicitations for additional products.  I don't like "opt out" choices, as I feel the default should be "opt in", but the choice was presented.  Rather than being enraged at Wells Fargo, or any other firm with which you have a relationship who then tries to sell you additional goods and services, simply spend a few minutes to find out how to change your choice to "no".  I'd be willing to bet good money that anyone who angrily switches banks from Wells Fargo to some other institution will wind up making the same mistake with the new bank.

I have my house mortgage with Wells Fargo and they have never, never, never, never, never ever given me the option to opt in or out of sales calls and never sent me notice that an agent or agent of an agent would be calling me about anything. That is where the probelm starts. Wells Fargo should ask up front, "may we solicit you for other business."

History has proved that telemarketing is as popular with the public as a case of clap. I don't know why any company wants to use that method of advertising when it's a known fact that most people want to be left alone at home. Only the mentally deranged, needy and lonely could possibly want to receive these calls.

I don't answer any calls that say unkown name, unknwon number, private number, anonymous caller or have the name of a company I don't recognize with an 800 or 888 prefix.

That's pretty sad. It means every time the phone rings I have to get up, cross the room, pick up the god damned phone and LOOK at it before I can make a decision to push the answer button.

We need to write our congressmen and tell them the do not call registry is a broken, useless service and to pass legislation with teeth in it where telemarketers, your ex-spouse and mother-in-law can't call you.

OK, I've never dealt with wells fargo at all, so, why the heck do they keep calling me, I pay like 2 bucks a month for call filtering, and this is maybe the 5th number I've blocked, how many do they have?
