A scam is a scam is a scam and this is a scam. Telemarketers that don't identify themselves are not only [***] but are "scammers"!!!!!!!!

Called me on my cell phone.They didn't know my name or address. When I asked where they got my number he said I would have to call this number. When I called it was the same guys voice on the answering machine that called me trying to sell me an alarm system. Left a message asking them to call me back with information on how they got my number and never heard from them. I am calling them all times of day and night I get up at 4:a.m. so get ready to change your phone number bud you ain't getting any sleep!!!!!!!

A guy from ATX home security called and said based on the information that we received from another website... I cut him off and said which company's website, he said I dont have access to that but I can give you the phone number to the Main company who can give you that info. He said 1-877-763-1880.

Looks like a one man operation that is calling random numbers. The number did not show on the caller id but when I asked him about the company name and phone he gave me the name "Home Security Group". When I called the 877 number he gave me I got an answering machine with the same man's voice. He called me twice.

@ Starlet - same exact thing happened to me. I have also been getting a lot of 4am - 8am telemarketing text messages.

using a voice bot. give it test that child could pass (e.g. what does a horse eat) and it will fail. tell it sounds like a bot, and then it will laugh saying "do I really sounds that bad, actually I am speaking live with you through a computer". if you can get it going long enough it will start to repeat itself.


CID info looks like it has a been spoofed.

half tempted to setup a meeting and waste someone else's time when they show up.


FCC complaint has been submitted, but don't expect anything from the FCC like always.

I had a similar experience- received a call, asked who provided my number and received the same 877 number to call. I also left a message, but when I didn't receive a reply I started searching. The 877 number belongs to "savantius.com". (Go to their website to confirm - accurate as of 7/21/2010) WHOIS data on Savantius.com reveals that it belongs to Jody Rookstool of 734 East utah valley drive, american fork, Utah 84003. Phone number is listed as (801) 772-0620, but every time I call I get a busy signal.  However, I say call "Jody" and see how much she likes it.

I called that number for Judy Rookstool. It is no longer in service. The original caller gave me the same ATX shpeall. Gave me 1-877-763-1880 when I asked for who gave my number, - then gave me 866-824-8824. I called that and an answering machine came on with the original callers voice and sounded like "Quinn" or Quint, Hess"  The 8824 comes up as verizon conferencing. The number is not currently in use. I think it is a bot caller as well.

my caller id came up as OVTN CO  1-402-982-0705 but I got the same Home Security scam info.

Got a new number for Jody 801-492-1050, I can't get anyone to pick up, but it's a live number.  You all can leave her a message and tell her how you feel.

IF you get a call from OTO inc.( name showing on caller I.D. )please call me at 1-877-283-5962. They are illegal telemarketers that call themselves the Home or national security group. They are telemarketers for home alarm companies. I know who they are and where they are. Their clients are major home security systems. I need your help to get them. I sued their client earlier this year and received very useful information about OTO. With your help we can drive them out of business.

What's more annoying?.... Getting phone calls from telemarketers or attorneys trying to promote themselves on blogs.  Dude... they're selling alarm systems.  Maybe annoying, but last I checked, not illegal.  But you go get em, Perry Mason.

Are u Jody's minion. I think the fold have a legit complaint and you should shut your trap. I hope that attorney was successful in doling out a bit of justice
