Caller said she was Ashley and that we had spoken last week (no we didn't) about lowering my credit card rates and this was a courtesy call.  Also asked me to call back to 877-786-0938.  So I did - spoke to Crystal who told me that they are a Company "Consumer Credit Card Debt" and perhaps they called my number by mistake.  But, before I could get off the phone with her, she tried to sell me their services to reduce my debt - of which I have none.

Same here... but it was a message on my VM.
My favorite part is how she says, "... and possibly cut your minimum monthly payments in half, and since you only make your minimum monthly payments this would be a great opportunity for you..."
Really? That's funny, I refuse to pay the credit card companies interest. I equate credit card interest with organized crime. Therefore, I do not have any credit card debt.

I got the same exact message from Amber Johnson today. Coincidence...I think not! Total scam.

I got the same message, Amber Johnson saying that we spoke on the phone last week (which we did not) talked about lowering interest rates and minimum payments etc...  I knew that this was likely a scam since we never talked and I don't have credit card debt.

Just got the same credit card call/VM on my cell.  They are still at it.

Amber Johnson just called me at my office and left me a VM.  I didn't speak to her last week and I don't have credit card debt.  What upset me was she called me at my job!  Makes me wish I answered the phone to stick it to her!

I received the same call. I called back to have my business number removed from their system. The person asnwering the phone apologized and said that it was a mistake. I assured her that there was no mistake because too many people are incorrectly receiving this call.  I said that I would make report the abuse and the person assured me that Amber Johnson would be making no more calls.  Not likely!

Same  recorded half a message from 1(877) 786-0938. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry. Please file a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/

I received the 1/2 message on my cellphone vm on 08/12/10.  Since I do not give out my cellphone #, I was trying to figure out if the call was legit.  Her name was not recorded, but the script is the same as above.  I called the 877-786-0938, after business hours.  It was curious the recording did not announce the name of the company.  After searching and searching, I found no record of the owner of the 877 phone number, then finally found these posts.  Now I know for sure it was not legit.  I do not intend to call them back.  If they want to lower my interest rates to 1.5%, they don't need my permission.....just do it!  The phone call came from 248-628-9101.  Based on what the posts here say, they are just fishing.  They don't know if I have credit card debt or not.  Thanks for everyone's input!

Just recieved the same message as everyone else from Amber Johnson.  The call came from a different number though 517-522-8694 but in the VM was told to call the 877-786-0938.

I just got that same call - and my cell phone recorded the number that it was actually called from (517) 522-8694.  It's a residence in Michigan.

I got the same call as Mike, Mick, and Ellen. Googled the callback number out of curiosity and found this page. Obviously knew it was nonsense, especially since my name was not mentioned. Thought it might have simply been a wrong number, but it was mentioned as being the "last courtesy call" they would be making, and if they'd had previous correspondence with the person they were trying to reach, they'd obviously have the correct number on file - they wouldn't be hand-dialing anything, and therefore unlikely to make such an error. That so many others have received such calls confirms it's fishy.

Got it too! Nice to see that others are reporting the scam.

Same scam call here. I will never pick up a number I don't recognize. I made the mistake once and never will again.

Amber gave me a call today too... the only thing positive about it was that she sounded cute. ;)
