AGO*The 400 Report 877-791-6263
Don't know who these people are but it looks like it may be a pretty organised fraud! - SliLooks like they are from Agora Financial. I'm having the same problem. Did you ever find out any information about it?
- AnnaI have subscribed to several of their investment services and never have had a problem with any of them. I do not have any broker at any investment company (Fidelity, HD Vest, Scottrade, E-Trade)do the stock buying for me.
A friend lost $650,000 having his stock portfolio moved to American Express and the one broker assigned to him would purchase the same stocks over and over, selling at a loss until he was down to nothing. I prefer the stocks picks that the Agora Investors tell us about and chose which ones I might actually purchase. I read about them before I actually buy. I requested refunds from several and never had a problem getting the refund in a timely manner. I called to cancel one because I didn't have time to look at it each week. I just wanted it cancelled for the next quarterly payment. I chit-chatted a bit with the guy because I had talked to him often about stuff. I told him that I had not even looked at nor purchased any recommendation for the previous quarter because it was tax time and as a CPA working in public accounting, I have no extra time then. He said, I am going to refund you that quarter also--which he didn't have to do because all seem to offer a 90 refund with no questions asked but he did it for me without my asking. I accidentally ordered service for a new group when I hit the wrong button and $1,750 was taken out of my checking. I emailed them immediately to request a refund and 12 days later (included weekends when they didn't work, the $1,750 was credited back to my checking a/c. I've subscribed to Agora groups, Taipan GRoups and Lombardi (in NY-separate from Agora) without any problems.
I don't know how the people above received calls from that phone #. All I can say is that I have had good success and they definitely are not a fraud for me. I can show you my statements proving my gains.
Maybe someone else is taking advantage and using their # to try to get someone to sign up and then take your money. Could it be a fraud group pretending to be Agora? So are there 2 groups--the real Agora and a scam group to take advantage of the real group? - ypatmajorthese people who ever they are, are thieves, they have stolen money from my credit card, I have no idea who they are. I have tried to call that number i get a recording saying they are updating their computer.
- l perryyou know it's fraud when one of the first few options given on the automated account is to "cancel your service".....generally a pretty good clue....

Thank you, - Bebe replies to benSame experience as yours. We cancelled our Discovery Credit Card the beginning of September 2009, shredded our cards and changed to another credit company. This December, 2010 we received a billing from Discovery for $49.00 for "Purchases". Supposed merchant was PSV*Newsletter/Products. Never had heard of them,
Again, how did they get our number ...... especially since there had been no activity on that card for well over a year?
We have since that time had a fraudulant charge on our new card. Beware of a charge from ATHOMEREWARDS for $19.95.Bebe - spammerslammerThese crooks just called my number without leaving a message. Time to check that credit card bill when it comes.

- Chris| 1 replyReceived a call from this company and they answer the phone as "Subscriber Services". They are a subscription processing hub for a lot of companies and a lot of different products. They don't charge credit cards fraudulently but do charge based on the auto-renewal subscription you signed up for.
If they're calling you, it's because you have an account with one of their companies. If they've charged your card, it's because you previously ordered something from one of their companies on an auto-renew basis.- Caller: Subscriber Services
- VernStansbury research associates owns them and Agora too I found out and they are being investigated by the SEC and has paid a large fine. I too was charged.
- Caller: none called
- tim replies to TigI had a debit from my bank account with this phone number as a reference. I don't know what it is for either. Trying to find out who it is led me to your post. I called the number and got Hoover's (whoever they are). They just hung up on me saying I had the wrong number and they were not who I was looking for. "But," I said and was left holding a dead line. How these frauds got access to my bank account is what I want to know. :-(
- tim replies to ChrisI may have some auto renewal charges to my account but not from these people. First time I ever heard of them. Argo what??? Do you know these people? It's a scam I tell you.
