Report a phone call from 877-792-8215 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- LigiGood afternoon,
I've received a phone call from this number at my work. The individual on the other line claimed they were from citicard. They attempted to ask me for personal information such as my entire social (didn't give it), mother's maiden name, address, phone number, work number...I said that my husband already settled the matter with another individual just to end our conversation. Was that a scam attempt?- Caller: citicard???
- BillI got the same phone call. My matter has not been resolved but I have not answered the phone call either. Its a different person everytime they call. I'm pretty sure its Citibank/citicard but I'm not 100% sure. I know why they would be calling me so I assume its them.
- Caller: Citicoorp credit
- HankI also receive the call from that number.
They say i owe the credit card payment(but i didn't).
I afraid my information stole by someone and apply (that) credit card
or the phone call just want to get our information to do something.
I decide checking my credit report.
but I don't know where can I get the report. - RubleThey left accurate information on my voice mail. I called them back, they identified themselves as Citi and the extension # matched up with the name on the message. Legit call.
Makes me wish I had a job so I could pay what I owe, but then I wish that every day that I don't have one.
Note: the call was received from (816) 420-4003, the 8215 number was left with their message.- Caller: Citi
- anelise| 4 repliesYeah it is Citi. They suck as a company. If you have one of their credit cards get rid of it now before they jack up your APR and really screw you over!
- Bonnie| 3 repliesYep, it's citibank and they just srewed me so bad on my apr!!! it's a finance charge of over $300 a month plus the payment charge of $320!! Not sure what to do now... so much for keeping perfect credit!! ;-(
- Caller: CITI BANK
- John| 2 repliesThey called asking for my wife and when I said she was not home they hung up which is very unusual for a business call.
- MikeI hear you all. I get 6-7 calls per day! This Must be illegal! No messages. No ID. Just relentless calls! 877-792-8215

- sandy replies to Bonnie| 2 repliesthis is citibank. they call relentlessly! 4-5 time a day. tried to work out a payment plan with them. my husband is still unemployed. they wont accept what i can pay. so i guess i wont pay them at all!! it doesnt help matters when they jack up the interest rate to 29.9% and keep charging late fees and over limit fees. if i had the money i would have paid in the first place.
- Janice replies to anelise| 2 repliesYeah; my husband was a loyal cardholder for over ten years. Right before the new laws took effect they jacked up the interest to 29% and tripled his monthly payments! He's never made a late payment, one that was less than the minimum or missed one, and they did this to him anyway! There's no way that we can make the payments now; when he tried to make arrangements with them they said that there's nothing that they can do (he spoke over and over and over again to them; different people every time that either didn't know or didn't care that he had repeated himself to many other employees) and that they will send him to collections. I wish that there was a way to organize a world-wide boycott on these pieces of [***] that took OUR bailout money and are now pulling this! We pulled these companies out of the fire with OUR hard-earned money and now they've chosen to screw us all!
- mindtwisterJust use two phones on speakerphone and add *67 before the number and call them back at the same time. Be very quite when you bust up laughing when they get a taste of thier own medicine by getting an incoming call from a collector.
- Caller: Citibank Chase or whomever
- Call type: Debt collector
- D Rhoades| 1 replyit is Citi Card and they are relentless. They call 12 times a day and I have been a card member with them since 1996 never missed a payment in all the years and since JAN i lost my job and tried to explain they told me not to make a payment for two months I did it and they still call and I give them what I can. They did raise my interest to 29.9 and its piling up. Won't do a darn thing for me. I do answer the phone and tell them they are being recorded on my end, they get mad and hang up. I'm so sick of talking with so many dumies. They must all have different computers. Until they work with me and drop the interest and give me a program I can live with I will continue to take names and pay every month what I can.

- kcritterThey are calling all day and hanging up...Who are these people?????
- Steve| 3 repliesI get the same call sveral times a day at home and on my business cll phone. I have a card with Citi that is current. I don't bther answerring anymore. Although if you have afew minutes, try answering and leaving the phone alone, ties them up waiting for you. They are calling well after acceptable hours and I am on the do not call list.

- Customer fighting back replies to Steve| 2 repliesOne note to "twister" and others--the * 67 does NOT work on any toll free number--they are paying for the toll free number and can still capture the number you are calling from so use a pay phone if you can find one. It is citibank credit card collections--talk to them once, dont let them get a word in edgewise, dont give them any info of any kind and tell them you are joining in the nation wide class action lawsuit against them. As many people in this country that are pissed off at the "too big to fail" banks there isnt a jury anywhere that will find in their favor--especially after they had their other hand out begging for TARP (taxpayer) money to bail them out. Tell them they have already been paid with taxpayer dollars, some of which are yours.
- MHDidn't answer the call. They call about 6 times a day and leave no message on my anwering machine.
- its very easy to stop them! Here's the law- all collections have to follow it! Yes, some may not, but the larger companies will(like Citicard, Chase, Discover, Bank of America.) If they call and anyone in your household answers the phone and THEY actually talk they cannot, by law, call you again on the same day.If there is no answer at your phone number & they do not leave a message, they can call as many times as they want until you do answer.Again, once you answer and they talk, that's it for them for the day. Also, they are only allowed to call between 8AM and 9PM your time. Also, at any time on any call, you can tell them you do not want them to call anymore and, by law, they cannot contact you by phone.I do not know if by saying this you hasten collections with a credit card company sending it to a collection agency, or a collection agency sending it to court.
Now, collection agencies will still try to say untrue things but they have to be very careful about that since it against the law to say certain things, like threaten jail, physical altercations, notifications to family or friends, etc. The more well known and large collection agencies will follow the law but they are pretty nasty while they do it.
If any of you have doubts about what I am saying-check it out on google and you will see there are now laws to protect us from some of the evil.- Caller: citicard
