IT appears to me reading responces last week regarding this matter that BRADSHAW is concocting accusations where no substance exist. Clearly the concern is BRADSHAWS hiring practices. If true that is most inappropriate. Creating positions for friends and in one instance assingning one friend 3 cars?, Certainly misuse of public funds, you Mr Bradshaw know firsthand what is inappropriate, YOU patice it.Abuse of office, misuse of public funds, and more. Perhaps someone needs to file a complaint with the States Atty. Office regarding you. If you had exercised any comunicatve or management skills this issue would be nonexistent.- Caller: Ms. Bradshaw (answered when called back)

- Mikegot a call from these folks yet again, likely hundreds from them looking for Casey, I have no idea who Casey is and don't think I even know a Casey...I told the gal to stop calling and that this was the wrong number, she was rude as hell and so was I. She said she would keep calling, despite the fact that she knows I am not the right person- what the hell is that? They call at night, at dinner time, early morning it is absoluting crazy. The best part is, I have no deb with them, I have money and when I find out where they are located I am going to fly there to visit...I hope they are ready for a visit.

- PeteHave been receiving calls from this number and other numbers, belonging to Portfolio Recovery Associates, sometimes as many as two or three per day for several weeks now. It's a collection agency based in VA. I don't owe anyone anything. As others have stated, they will call asking you to call them back. I talked to my phone company about them, and they referred me to the FCC. Called the FCC and they referred me to the FTC, (Federal Trade Commission) The FTC took my call, and started a case file on them, and the FTC agent advised me not to contact them from my home phone, and if you do contact them, don't give them any personal info. They need several complaints to take any action, as they will not act on individual complaints. The number to the FTC is: 1-877-3824357. Complaining about these knuckleheads on a web site won't do anything, but getting a government agency involved just may shut them down.
- WendyThe only way to effectively deal with Portfolio Recovery Associates is to NOT engage them in conversation. They have already been well established as liars and thieves and will make your life miserable if they can making false claims about your financial business.
The best method of handling their calls is to go to Walmart to the sporting goods department and buy a referee's whistle. They sell them for $2.95. It comes with a handy lanyard that you can conveniently hang on your phone.
When they call (when you are sure by the phone # displayed on their caller ID) simply BLOW THE WHISTLE into the phone as loud as you possibly can.
Continue to use this method until the calls stop. If they don't stop, continue ad nauseam. You owe it to them to be as persistent as they are!- Caller: Portfolio Recovery Associates
- Shari and Nathan WilliamsI would like for these people to stop calling me. I do not know who they are and why they keep calling my home
- ANONWe got a call from them asking for my husband's ex, though we have been married 25 years. They said she had left this number as a contact number. During a second conversation, they said they could not find our phone number in their files and wanted her social security number to look it up. The girl acted real real dumb, asking me to repeat everything. They have not called back.
- LindaI've been receiving calls from this number for about 2 weeks now, usually in the late/very late evenings. I got so tired of ignoring them I finally decided to call this damn number back this morning and tell them to STOP calling me as I was not the person they were "looking" for. I called and a very nice CS person took my call and I told her it was a new number and she happily took my number off their master list. We shall see though, hopefully!

- SandraThese people have been calling me daily for 3-months--They say I owe a debt for a company I've never heard of--I told them they have the wrong person and they were very rude--I asked to talk with a supr--I got this man on the phone and explained to him this is not my bill- he said I had 2 accounts with Discover and I owed 8,000.00 - I have had one account with Discover for 10 years- I called Discover to have them check my credit -there was no problem ever--I told the supr what I had done and he said I'm sorry we will take your name off-- two days later the calls started again- I am retired and live on limited budjet--it is really scaring me- What should a person do?
