DO NOT GIVE THEM ONE CENT DO YOUR BUSINESS WITH THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR ONLY!!!

These people do not respect the law concerning your privacy, one step short of being a 419 scam.
They are collections monsters, they would steal the nickels off their own dead mother.
Called attempting to collect a huge whopping $10.00 dept on a person whom I know has long ago passed away.

Please note that I’m not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. You heard from National Assets  Management, a blood-sucking 3rd party collector who speculates by buying “bad debts” for pennies on the dollar through a debt exchange and then hassle people to pay back the full amount of an “alleged“ debt. .(Note: always say “alleged debt“ instead of just “debt“ when dealing with any 3rd party collector…and never admit to owing anything!)  They are much like those greedy creeps, but not nearly as large, who destroyed our economy on Wall Street and continue the same reckless practices today. The caller is in India (another American job sent overseas, though it be vampirism) and is willing to break all laws relating to the U.S. 1982 Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).  Although I do not owe the alleged debt claimed by them, they have already broken two of the FDCPA’s laws: (a) failed to send a letter within 5 days of initial contact informing me of their status as debt collectors; the alleged debt; and my rights under FDCPA to challenge the validity of the alleged debt and (b) spoke with and attempted to get payment from a family member not even named in the alleged debt.  I’m waiting for a few more of their illegal acts before I sue them (I believe the FDCPA’s punitive amount allowed for the suit is $1,000 which can easily be arranged in a small claims court without a lawyer).  Anyway, everyone should look up the FDCPA on the Web and see what your rights are and what you can do about collector’s harassment t which can be stopped with a simple letter to them (hint: use registered mail).

If you have a digital phone account, you may be able to block creepy debt collector calls or any other “unavailable” name or number calls through your provider's telephone tools. I have Cox and use this feature successfully for the vast majority of these type of calls.  If you don ‘t have this availability and can afford it during these times, I highly recommend it.  Our home is much more tranquil and enjoyable since we obtained digital service.  Also, I highly recommend you reads the U.S. 1982 Debt Collection Practices Act (available many places online) to see what your rights are when dealing with collectors.

Been getting calls from this number for about a week. Once a day between noon and 2pm. I've never answered (because I don't answer from numbers I don't recognize) and they've never left a message. I'm also reporting this number to the Do Not Call Registry.

1.10.2013 Several voice mails left on my son's voicemail who happens to be a minor.  All voicemails have only someone typing in the background.  Decided to call the number back and inform them they have the wrong number and talked to "Mike."  He said he'd document my son's number as "incorrect number" and he began asking me if I know someone named XXXX.  Told him repeatedly I've never heard of that person and my son is a minor.  He hung up on me while I was talking.  If this company calls my son's number again, is there anything I can do about it?

Just got a call from them, this is a common scam, they buy old debts which are no longer registered on the credit reports because they have been written off or settled with no release notification.  Then they threaten people to pay, best action is to check your credit report, if you are not showing as owing be it that the agency has written it off or you paid it through a 3rd party collector and they failed to give you a release letter or in some cases failed to report the resolve of the file to the credit reporting agencies) this is the [***] these scam artist are doing, check your credit report, if that shows nothing then you are free and clear, matter of fact just tell them you are going to confirm with the credit reporting agency first before speaking about any "alleged" debt (this is important always use alleged debt), you will probably never hear from them again because they are basically a scam they buy these alleged uncleared debts for pennies and try to get you to pay, again, check your credit report, then you will know if you have any debt outstanding or not, too easy.

Received 5 calls from this number between 02/17/15 and 03/13/15 without leaving a message.  On 03/16/15 a message was left stating that they were with the IRS and I had to call before the end of the business day.  Knowing I had already filed my tax return and received my refund I did not return the call.
