This number is part Careers. I am a representative of Careers and would love to fill you in on what we do. Often you'll see one of our numbers on the end of a job application or during it, this is simply for the employer to gain the benefits of having a qualified pool of applicants. When you call in, we ask you to confirm your information and some additional qualifying questions, if any, that are required to fill the position. The process only takes a few minutes and then you're done.

Yeah, but is there really a job available OR is this a way to get a ton of people in the application pool. If so, this is very misleading. We all applied because there was a posting for an actual job. In this down economy if is very unscrupulous to lead people to think there is a job when there is not and you just do it to have a large database of applicants.
So which is it? a real job OR to fill quotas??

Googled this number and got several sites.  All have the identical questions and comments, but with different poster names.  If it's legit, why would they plant all these phony posts?  Smells like a SCAM!

I too received a message to call this number after applying for a job.  I was initially told that the interview could take up to 45 minutes, however after a brief review of my information the call ended after just 7 minutes.  The call ended with the interviewer focusing on my incomplete college degree, and whether I intended on completing my degree in the future.  I felt the call had at that point deteriorated from an interview and had become a sales call at best or a fishing scam at worst.  I would not recommend calling this number as they claim they can give no information about the alleged job.
