The message alerts about fraud in MasterCard account and requests full credit card number

just got a recorded message from this number saying they were fraud department.....concerning my World Mastercard...and to stay on the line for verification.  They left this number to call back.  Only problem is I don't have one.  I didn't call them back, nor wait on the line.

Call about possible fraudulent activity on my account and a hold being placed on it.  I don't have a Mastercard through Barclays and it didn't mention my name or "account number ending in".  I just hung up.

I received a message regarding my credit card with Barclays and I don't have a card with them.  You can't speak to anyone unless you input the entire credit card.  This definitely is a fraud scheme so beware.

Got a call from this number saying it was World Master Card / Barclay Card asking me to call - i do not have a mc with barclay or world whatever so i did not call

I got a call from this number, said my Barclay CC had charges, only problem is I don't have one

Same as others. They called and left voicemail. I called number back and when you call back it prompts you for full account number otherwise it will not allow you to proceed. I do not have Barclay card.

DO NOT provide your account number or social. If they called you they should be able to look you up by phone number.

NEVER give your info to anyone calling you! For example if it is your bank tell them you will call back and call them back at the published number for your bank not one that was given to you by a voicemail, etc.

same here. 8778188319 said they were calling about my barkley card and a fraud alert may have been put on.  i do not have a card like that and did not call back...

Received a call from this number: "This is the fraud department. Barclays World MasterCard has detected possible fraudulent...". Told me to hold. I hung up. Didn't bother waiting, nor would I have. I don't have a Barclays MasterCard.

Same as others--a recording saying they're calling about possible fraud on my Barclays Mastercard, then asking me to key in the credit card number. I had actually just returned from a trip where I used my Mastercard (not Barclays), so at first I assumed it was about that. Fortunately my spidey senses started tingling when it asked for the full card number, and I hung up. It sounded very convincing though!

I've gotten 2 phone calls from this number and I don't have a MasterCard . I don't like auto answer without a person and when pressing zero doesn't get you a live person I hang up.  How they got my cell is a good question

Also received recorded message as indicated above -- left on a voicemail. I did not call the # back. Sounds like a scammer.

I just received the same recorded fraud alert as others have reported. I do not have a Barclays Mastercard.

Got the same call. Turning it over to FCC & Homeland Security

Got a message from this number indicating that it was the fraud department of a Master Card company. Since I don't have a Master Card, I was suspicious that it was a fraud. Do not answer them and do not give them any personal information.

Same here. Seems by the screen names they might be targeting AZ people right now. Im in AZ. I tried to enter random numbers to try to get someone on the phone to mess with them but no dice.

Yep, same here.  Same message on my cell phone which I found strange since it didn't reference my name or what the card number ended with.  BEWARE!!!!!

Same stuff as above. Sounds pretty fishy to me and it ain't even Friday. Don't be dumb and fall for this scam.
