they actually called my cell phone; i missed the call but later tried calling it because i didn't recognize the number and it just said gulf coast and started conecting me to a representative. i told them that i saw their number on my caller id and if i could give them my number and see who they were calling for or why. he was very short and didn't seem to understand me but said that my number was associated with someone else, maybe this woman had my number before me? but i told them they had the wrong number on file and not to call anymore.

My story was exactly the same as Kelsey's.  Is this some sort of scam?

I am also sick of getting random calls from Gulf Coast Collection Bureau because they are looking for someone with the first 3 letters of their name, the same as mine! I finally found the solution!....

President of the company is Jack Brown and his home phone number is 941-924-4037.  Have fun, call him anytime day or night! ;-)

I got that call too! I started to get their local # 941 a while back and some blocked #. Who are these people are what r thay doing? I think its a scam if there is other people talking about them.

Same number! sounds like a scam. they left me a message in the middle of the night!!!

I got a call from this number 1877-827-4820 don't have any clue how these people got my cell they call me almost every other day. I have no idea who they are.  I am sick of this how do I file a complaint .

Gulf Coast is a Collection agency... And yes, if you have monies due they will call.. Being rude, etc. is SOP, but you really can't get them to stop.. Merely suggest to perhaps keep in writing only and/or ask for Originally Billing to check their validity as a Collection.

Did not recognize number on call history.  I just got a letter from them that they have an account for collection for USF Health for an amount that I can't figure out.  Oddly, all my healthcare providers are part of USF Health and I see one of them at least twice a month.  Seems someone would have brought a past due amount when I checked in....just sayin'!

They just callled asking about my wife, who never has a credit card or debt,claiming us something

You CAN get them to stop, and also ANY debt collector, with a simple cease and desist order letter.  
Then if they call after you send them that, you can fine them up to $1,000 PER CALL !!!

According to the FDCPA, if you send in a cease and desist letter to the agency via certified mail, debt collectors cannot legally call you on the phone anymore.

Why not just pay your debts

What I don't understand is if it is Gulf Coast Collection Company why it shows as Ray Dillard Company

Why am I getting calls, maybe 2 or 3 a day, from what appears to be a debt collection agency. If I pick it up, no one is there! Plus, I do not owe anyone money! Grr!

Jack Brown sold the company. If you want the calls to stop, call 941-927-6999 and give them the number they called you on. They will look it up in their system. If you are not who they were trying to reach they will update their records and stop calling unless someone again gives your number (perhaps identity theft?) If you are who they are trying to reach, you will want to resolve the problem before it gets reported to credit bureau and you get charged higher interest rates or are denied credit, insurance or employment. If it is an insurance problem, they will help you get it resolved.
