If I recall correctly this is Directtv's phone number.  And mackd some people don't want to deal with prank callers and/or telemarketers.

We cancelled our Direct TV yesterday and have received 4 phone calls today from this number.  We cancelled for good reason...their bait and switch tactics.  It's SUNDAY!  Don't they have restrictions?

I canceled DirecTV this morning and they've called me 4 times already in just 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So irritating-- I'm at work and am not going to answer personal calls on work time!

I cancelled my Directv yesterday afternoon and they have called me 4 times in the last 3 hours on my cell phone at work.  They won't leave a message.

I, too just cancelled an account with DirecTV. I hope they don't start pestering my business line with call-and-hang-ups as I have been reading here. I might have to sic my rabid pit-bull of an attorney on them.

Right On, Bent! We cancelled yesterday and switching because of interference issues with the signal during weather changes.

Cancilled a few days ago and the phone calls are starting to roll in. Now they just call and hang up. Think they have been selling my number because I am now getting calls for security systems, etc. Thanks to this post, I know who the phone number is from ~ 1 (877) 843-0544.........
I have been with Direct TV for years and I don't think my bill stayed the same for more than 3 months at a time. Tried to get HD once but after 2 no-shows and one show and didn't know why he was there, I gave up. Get this, they said they wouldn't bill me for the new contract but they couldn't take it off my account. "That's the way our system works". I was so enraged! I yell'd "...you can put satelites up in the sky but can't fix my account?" Always went out if it even thought of raining. Terrible, terrible company. Got U-Verse now and much happier (so far).

After many annoying evenings of watching TV only to have the picture turn to snow, searching for a satellite, I canceled my Direct TV.  .In the past month, this occurred at least 15 times.  They should have to reimburse me!   We had a contract which expires in May 2011.  I told them I wont pay for any early cancellation because they could never get their act together to send someone to our home to fix the problem.  Too many "no shows" from their technicians tell me the company is unreliable.

same thing... Cancelled yesterday.. yestarday night and this morning I received two calls.. but missed them.. they dont leave message.. The reason of cancellation was HIGH BILLS... They said max my bill would be 62 USD.. never received a bill less than 95 USD..

cancelled directv at 1:45 in the afternoon on a friday.... received first call from this number at 8:30 same night and every day after except Sunday.  most days received multiple calls.

I started receiving these calls Sunday as well after I canceled my Directv service late Friday. It's a robo-call, so there isn't anyone there for the first few seconds after you answer. I had time to say 'hello' 3 times before someone picked up just as I was hanging up.

I am tired of this phone calls from day and night, even after midnight or early in the morning, also when I having important meeting with people .  I want to know about this phone number and who is calling. It is make me sick and tried of this no mannered annoying phone calls.

I called this number back and they offered free service for 3 months. I cancelled last night.

We canceled our Direct TV 4 days ago and this number has been calling several times a day since. When you answer, no one is there, and when you call the number back, you get an answering machine.

So, I called Direct TV's customer service line to complain. After much running-around, and the man claiming they were calling to update me on my account (which we canceled), I finally convinced him to take me off the call-list.

If you're getting calls from this number and want it to stop, call customer service, but don't let them be jerks (as they surely will)!

Just called to cancel our DirecTV all of 7 hours ago, and have already rec'd 4 calls from this #, once an hour starting 3 hours after I cancelled. I guess they think that will convince me to come back.

We cancelled as soon as our 2yr contract with DIRECTV was up. I cancelled this morning and have already had 5 missed calls this afternoon with no messages. They even offered me a $200 credit on my account to stay. Their service was so bad and they have known issues with equipment that they are not addressing. I told the guy - "Just cancel my service and let's not waste each other's time."
