recieved call claiming that they are a law firm, and threaten to have my license suspended unless I gave them my credit card info. or if not I needed to get a pre-paid card to give them a payment.

Thought I'd share this information that I had come across. I too have been called by this company, threatening wage garnishments, etc....
Like Christy I also requested that everything be sent in writing by email or mail - nothing!!!
I deceided to google the company and the person's name who called a Ms. Dickey. I found links to this website: www.collectiontechnology.net - this is a portal where these sharks buy and sell information. Here's an example:

" hi mates we have a huge bulk of old 2005/2006 pdl (payday loan) accounts, they need a brush up and are being used by 0-1 collection agencies, trying to sell them off at real low pricing, please contact me for more info or for sale as im trying to get them off asap !!

got a call from company and they told me my paycheck was going to be garnished if I didn't pay they would garnish my paycheck

I received a voice mail from them stating that they are calling about garnishing my wages.  I have not called them back and I don't want to speak with them from what I have read on this blog.  What can I do about them calling?

The same just happened to me from 630-554-7416 and she said her name was Ms. Johnson.  She said they will start wage garnishment from TJF Corp in regards to a payday loan form 2006.  I said it has been over 4 years and I don't recall.  The total is now over $800.00  I asked for everything to be sent to me in writing.  I will see if I receive an e-mail.  She did say that they only accept prepaid cards and debit cards.  She said I can call back with arrangements to 1-877-844-9657.  03/18/2010.

I got a call today 4/1/10, 877-844-5657, Miss Taylor stating I owed $720.00 from a payday loan servicing company called Arrowhead from 2007.  she said they would take my drivers license?  I asked for information about this and they said I needed to set up arrangements first and there was a lot of noise in background like an agency, dialing for dollars.  The name of the company was Ezell Williams & Associates.  I said I had brother as attorney and would check this out.

Does anyone know about this company.   Do you return there calls or leave alone.

Hi, I have recently been called by this as well. Saying they go by the name DNR Recovery as well. That they were to granish my check for $1500.  by their clients. I don;t know who they are. So I informed them that I filed bankruptcy last and anything I owed went under there. They are constantly keep calling me.
