They left a message (without stating my name) on my GrandCentral number (which NO ONE has except my family).

I am responsible and pay my bills. Numbers like this call me looking for other people - and they call my cell phone during daytime hours, which has a cost to me associated with it.  When they've asked for a specific name, they have only used a first name, not first and last or "Mr. so-and-so," which would be highly unprofessional of a legitimate company.  Then when I asked what it was regarding, they got short with me, and when they found out that I wasn't person they were looking for (first name only), they hung up on me without apologizing for getting the wrong number, no "have a nice day, bye" or anything like that.  This is not legitimate and I suspect a scam.  Call your phone provider and have the number blocked.  Or, you could call them back repeatedly to cost them money since it is a toll-free number.

I pay my bills , but I do not pay my ex-s . And the companies who loan money should make sure who they loan money too. He has given out my number his new wife has used my name, and he has sold my name to some woman from Mexico. I refuse to try ad strighten this out and I refuse to pay the bill.
The caller was unknown and left no message.
So attonery's should NOT include SS# and DL# when getting a divorce.

initially, i had to google this number to find out who was calling.  a computerized msg was left with an undiscernable name of the person with whom the company was attempting to reach.  it seems as though collection agencies attempt to contact its debtors by computer before a live person initiates the collection attempt(s).

yes i get calls from this number four to six times a day and they won't say anything just listen to me say hello then hangs up.it needs to stop. if you are a bill collector have some respect when using the phone.

When they call my phone they ask for me by name then they ask me
to verify my address and my social security number, they want me to give
them this information over the phone, NO WAY!! If this is a bill collector then
they should already have my address and social security number, When I ask
them what this phone call is concerning they tell me they can not discuss anything
with me until I give them my address and social security number. This sounds like a good
way of identity theft if you ask me. Wake up people this is not a very good way to
do business. GET A LIFE!!!!!

YOu keep thinking that.  There are people that get on list and have NO bills or may have had somethings in the past and are still getting calls.  So don't speak too soon my friend.

These dinks call me 4 times a day. When I pickup it just hangs up..I just got this number 2 months ago and its starting to tick me off.

bad times these days, make it easier on yourself. If they do not quit calling write certified letter and make them go to the mail box to talk to you. If they call after that file suit and get some of your money back.

you bought bad debt in a terrible economy cause by the very people you work for so you figure that one out! I know you can do it...simple math since you know how to pay your bills off people's misfortune.

You know sometimes people fall on hard times,

I had to file a police report on some scammers over 1 month ago, we owed no money
they are trying to get into your banking accounts

Consumers beware and report these scumbags to your local police dept.

Be responsible? I don't owe any money and am in no problems with anyone. Yet they called me. So where is your reasoning?
