NCO is notorious for not providing information to the consumer. They called me once to say I owed like $30 to a hospital that I never received billing from, so I asked that an invoice/bill be submitted to me so I could legitimately pay from it and what I received in the mail was a type of invoice from NCO (like a template form) with the zero's crossed off and $30 written in manually. Needless to say, I did not and will not pay a bill like that.

If a debt is valid - pay it. Make payments if you have to, but never let it go to unscrupulous collectors like NCO. The minute you even SAY that you used to have a credit card from some vendor they consider that an affirmation that the debt is YOURS even if it's been paid off for 20 years because seriously, who keeps receipts for that long.

    Anyway - good luck people.

Sunrise credit services began contacting regarding an alleged unpaid T-Mobile bill.  Once I received the letter, I contacted the company to advise I had paid my bill in full.  I also informed him that I had the last statement proving paid in full.  The representative proceeded to state "I don't know what to tell you, the bill is due and if you don't pay it I will be forced to report to the credit bureau."

After this call I contacted T-mobile and spoke to manager "Jim" he stated he could not handle the account once in collections.  I decided to call Sunrise credit and request their fax number to provide to prove the account was paid in full.  Once faxed I followed up the following day and confirmed receipt.  I was informed the investigation would take 30 days.  After following up on a weekly basis and all to no avail.  I decided to re-fax along with a letter demanding status.  I  called the following day 12/6/10 spoke to Nadia and was informed the account was out of dispute and the balance was due in full. Nadia transferred me to Leroy Johnson, I then proceeded to explain the entire situation again.  I requested to speak to a manager.  When transferred, supervisor Deanna placed me on hold and hung up.  When I called back a minute later, I was advised by Ray Maxwell she was gone for the day.  Mr. Maxwell stated he would research and have Deanna call me back.

I continued to call for the status and spoke to Anita (extremely rude).  Anita stated it was being reviewed by management.  After several calls thereafter with no resolution, I decided to pay the bill as I did not want it to affect my credit.  I made the payment with Anita on 1/17/11.  Anita advised it would not be reported to the credit agency, and I would receive a letter within 5 business days.

It is not 3/4/11, and I have made several calls to Anita and she confirmed I would receive the letter...again in 5 business days.

Today, I called 727-213-0100; Anita transferred the call once I identified myself.  I then spoke to Alex Lopez which stated he would mail the letter and confirmed it was not reported to the credit bureau.  I requested a letter stating such, and Mr. Lopez stated he could not send this type of letter.  I asked Mr. Lopez to transfer me to Deanna, and he stated she was not in the office.  I then called 866-891-3260 and requested the company name.  The representative stated they had several companies and could not give me the names.  I requested to speak to Deanna, the representative requested my phone number and transferred the call.

I explained the issues to Deanna and she stated she would send the letter but could not include the account was not reported to the credit bureaus.  Deanna verbally confirmed the account was not reported.

The run-around and poor customer service on behalf of Sunrise Credit is appalling.  Although I submitted evidence of payment.  They did not take the time to investigate the billing issue.

I am currently having the same issue with this place regarding a T-Moblie bill that I two have paid. The lady I spoke to when I called pretty much called me a liar because the dept agentcy had no record of me clearing up this large bill. I'm not sure what I should do because I am not paying for something I paid for over a year ago. Nor am I in the finacial state to. They also call late in the evening and if I don't not answer they call me right back 2 or 3 times in a row.
