I got a call from this number on my house phone that i never give out to anybody i just use my cell.(my house phone is for my mother) She answered the phone and a guy named Mandell asked for me and would not tell her anything more. no utilities or anything else has this phone number connected to me not even my work.

I received a call from the same number on 10/01/10.  When I called back, it was answered by a man who said it was Jacoby Law Firm.  (I'm not sure of the spelling of "Jacoby.")   From the background sound, it seemed like a boiler-room operation or a phone room with poor acoustics.  It sounded as if they're doing skip tracing -- the name they gave me for the person they were trying to reach has the same last name I do -- and said they'd remove my phone number from their records.

this number keeps calling my house phone and hanging up.. yesterday for the first time it was someone claiming to be an attorney.. but lots of wierd back ground noise on the answering machine..

Got a call this afternoon, we can only assume it's a debt collector from Chase.  While they said it was a law firm, it sounded like a call center with really bad noise issues.  They have been known to use these tactics to bully people that owe really past due accounts.  They lie and say that they are a law firm and then turn out to be a collection agency.  When you get close to your statute of limitations they will try EVERYTHING!

this number called me and its annoying Im on the no call list

I have absolutely no debt I'm only 19 i havent even had a chance to be in debt, but I have been getting calls from this number saying is the Luke Hart or something law firm. This cant be a debt collector it just a scam ignore it.

I got a call from this number yesterday on my unlisted cell that is also on the Do Not Call list.  The message said it was from some law firm.  I didn't call it back.  Lawyers contact you by mail not by phone.  This is a scam.  I've received 7 calls like this now on 3 weeks all from 877 numbers.

They called and left a message. It was a man who said he worked for Beecher Law Firm and that they had a "very important matter to discuss" with me. Not sure what it was about. I never returned the call, I figured that if it were legit, then they would call back. This was September 30, 2010, at about 7 pm. They have yet to call me back. hmm.
