- KokoRecieved Message, only said to "call them back at this number" stating days and hours they are open. ID on phone just says "Toll Free". I called the number back from a different phone, and it said it was "Customer Service"...may be recorded, open 24 hours a day 365/year (lol, certainly different than the times stated on my machine AND I still don't know who it is). But then it said If you would like to Place or follow up on your home warranty press 1. If you have questions about your membership services press 2. Please make your selection now...
We just had our air conditioning repaired yesterday...and he was trying to sell us a warranty...hmmm - Phone Weary6:15 p.m. Caller looking for my husband. When I said that he wasn't here, they replied, "This is concerning his home warranty,we'll call back at another time."
- Caller: unknown

- AngryI think these people got my name and number from my bank (USBank). This has happened once before.
Since I do not own a home, this MUST be a scam!- Call type: Telemarketer
- Upset| 1 replyThese people call and try to sell you a home warranty. The catch is that you never receive anything ni the mail to cancel. They must get their info from your bank. My checking account from Wells Fargo (Wachovia) was charged without me giving them any of my account information. Wells Fargo deniesthis saying they can't reach the company. You will find they debit your account as Residential MD 877.800.1634 instead of their actual number 877.880.1634.

- dw| 2 repliesI was helping my elderly folks with their bills and noticed a $54 charge from RESIDENTIAL MD on their Wells Fargo bank statement. They had no idea what this charge was for. Called Wells Fargo customer service and they said you have to call RESIDENTIAL MD to find out. Called RESIDENTIAL MD and they said my father agreed to a contract over the phone and threatened to play the recorded conversation back to me. He is no longer capable of entering into agreements because of his illness. After arguing with them for 30 minutes they agreed to reverse the charge and cancel the alleged contract. Called Wells Fargo back and reported RESIDENTIAL MD to their fraud dept. It would appear RESIDENTIAL MD and Wells Fargo have some kind of strategic alliance. How else could RESIDENTIAL MD have obtained my folks' bank info and drawn out $54 under the radar? Beware!! This is all done by telephone and they don't send any materials in the mail and they are not even listed with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

- LisaThe name of the company is Cross Country... I called them back and spoke with Britney and told her that I wanted all the calls to stop. She put me on hold and then came back and asked for my number so that she can put down for them to stop calling me.
- Caller: Cross Country Home Warranties
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Bill M.Received the same info on my answering machine. At the end of the prerecorded message, a very foreign accent live operator started saying my name as if she thought I was there. I have had home warranty calls in the past and am received a ton of calls from one of my credit card banks, U.S. Bank. Undoubtedly, after reading previous responses, this has eminated from them in some form. Not interested and will contact them to change my privacy info. (And maybe cancel my card...)

- Greg DThey called me and said they were affiliated with Wells Fargo and were offering Home Warranty insurance that I could cancel once by calling them back. Told them no I wasn't interested and they continued to give their spiel. I continued to say no thank you which they continued to ignor, so I hung up. Next thing I knew, there was a charge on my bank account for $44.95. I called Wells Fargo and they are investigating. What a scam! How they got my bank account number, I don't know, but watch out for these people.

- Marion S.| 2 repliesI do not recall getting a phone call from these people, but I noticed on my online Bank Account Summary that they have been charging me $54.95 (total of $164.85) three times, once a month, August through October with no authorization or service requested from me ! I don't know who they are and how they got my account information. I called Wells Fargo and reported this. A claim manager will be working on this problem and I will hear from the manager in about 10 days.
"Residential MD" appears on the Account Summary with their telephone # 877-880-1634, and another number. - Marion S.PS, I will NOT rest until ALL of these criminals are in jail, even if it is the last thing I do in life!
- Marion S. replies to dwdw,
Did you get your parents money back from these crooks? - Tasweigan replies to dwI have had the exact same situation.
Residential MD8778801634 began charging directly to my checking account without my knowledge or permission the amount of $54.95 per month.
After some research, They are actually "Cross Country Home Services Inc" and I called them on Sept. 20 to "cancel"
After discussion with my bank, I have requested from "Cross Country Home Services" to provide whatever documentation they have that I agreed to their offer (offer ??)
If the "agreement" is not valid, which it cannot be, I will forward to the Authorities for further attention.
I will update as things progress. - Marion S.I filed complaints wherever I could. I called the FBI and filed a complaint with the Federal Trade people. I called channel 6 ABC Action News and was told that I should call Wells Fargo and tell them that they have to reverse the unauthorized charges. Wells Fargo has NO signed authorization and they have NO verbal recorded authorization. I called Wells Fargo and requested that the stolen money be replaced to my bank account. I was told they have 10 days. If this is not done by 10/27, I am to ask 6 ABC News to assist me and they will! I want these people in JAIL, however, according to the FBI, they are probabley in a foreign country such as Romania and it would be impossible to track them.
- areed replies to Marion S.| 1 replyI just discovered the same thing. I've been charged by these people the same amount since May. I just noticed it today and then tracked back over my statements.
I tried to call their 877 number and, as others have said, got the message indicating that they're available by phone 24/7 365. Of course when I pressed the key for customer service, the recording told me that the office is closed until tomorrow morning. Also as others here have indicated, I signed up for nothing, never received a phone call or anything in the mail. I certainly never authorized any charge to my account.
After reading this comment thread and calling Residential MD, I called Wells Fargo and initiated a fraud dispute. The Wells Fargo rep was attentive and helpful. They indicate that the dispute should be resolved within 10 business days. We'll see. - Marion S.Update: they have been billing me back to November 14, 2011 for a total of 12 withdrawals costing me $659.40. STOLEN! And I do remember a couple of phone calls where the people identified themselves as being with Wells Fargo! I don't know if tgthat is relevant or not.
- Marion S. replies to areedGood luck to you. areed! I have already had two credits for 54.95 each. There are 10 more to go! They have to October 27 to reverse this problem.
- Marion S.| 1 replyThe latest for me. I received two letters. One from Home Sure (they have TONS of different names) stating that:
" Our records indicate that you were enrolled in RESIDENTIAL MD GOLD on October 12, 2011. At that time, you (my name) accepted a 30 day review period of RESIDENTIAL MD GOLD. As communicated at the time of enrollment, your acceptance would be forwarded for processing, and the membership fee added to your account unless you call to cancel prior to the expiration of the 30 day review period."
They then declined the refund based on the "Cancellation Provision stated in the Terms and Conditions of your Service Agreement."
Did I sign an agreement? NO! I also have a hearing deficiency! I do remember a phone call and they said they were WITH Wells Fargo! All I did was ask them to send info in writing, but never would have signed for this.I threw the packet of written material away. Wells Fargo gave them my account info. and I am out over $600.00.
Now Wells Fargo sent me a letter about stop payment. It is a long, confusing letter, which will be reviewed by my lawyer. What I gather at first glimpse, is a fee for all stop payment requests and a need to renew this request every 6 months to remain in effect. More serial robbery!
So far, BBB has responded to me with a letter responding to my complaint from these scammers which was the same as the above quote from a letter I received directly from them and I updated a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Marion S.No way to fight these people except through class action suit! They are slick & too big to fight! Sad that crime is ignored!
- Jkat replies to Marion S.It appeared that Wells Fargo co-conspired with Cross Country Home Service to steal money form account holders. Wells Fargo should not give your account number away to unauthorized vendor to debit you. According other people reported unwanted calls, the caller is Residential MD or Homesure of America Inc and Cross Country Home Services Inc Headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla . They have a website www.PlaceMyClaim.com. Call them first for a refund. If they declined, you should go to Wells Fargo branch where your account opened and ask them to credit you or else file complain in Better Business Bureau then close the account.
