I got rude and obscene calls from this number.  The individual claimed that his name was Nat Turner and claimed that he tried to serve the person who used me as a reference which is a lie.  When I refused to talk any further and hung up, he continued to call me back from a private number cussing and claiming his name was Nat Turner and that he is doing a legal investigation and that I had better tell him where the individual is.  He ultimately left a rude message on my voicemail leaving the number.  When I called back I spoke with another rude individual and told her that I wanted to file a complaint on Mr. Nat Turner for harrasment, while I was on the phone with the rude female, he clicked in on my line and started cussing.  This company and their practices are insane.  I really would like to report them to someone.

I'm in Colorado and had the same experience.  I received a call from a "Bill Brooks" as well, stating that he was trying to serve me on behalf of USC Mediations for check fraud.  He gave the number of his "legal department" 877-913-2581 ext 367 which I called and spoke with a "Justin Sutton"  who wouldn't give me an address or provide me with written notice of the debt they were trying to collect.  The only information I was able to get from him was that they were based out of California.

I called Sonic Cash who confirmed that I don't have any outstanding debt and verified my last payment.  When I called the "legal department" back and spoke with Justin again, he stated that they don't know what they're talking about and that if I didn't give them $493, I'll be charged with check fraud.  I asked him for Bill's number and I can meet up with Bill to be served and he refused, stating that Bill would find me.

The only information I can find about USC Mediations is postings such as this.  They're not registered with the Secretary of State.  I found them on the BBB and they have an F rating with multiple complaints.  I've filed complaint with the CA Attorney Generals Office as well as with the BBB.
