They call me weekly with the same question

I researched these guys awhile back but a different number was showing up on Caller ID. They call and ask if you are still looking for a new location. It is indeed a phishing scam (trying to get information on your business/residence). If you DO happen to be looking for a new location (let's say it's a residence), they try and find out if you're living there or not. If you're a business, they most likely sell the info. This time around I said they had the wrong number. They clarified the name of our business and I said yes, that's us, but "I know you cold call people." As SOON as I said that, they hung up. It was also an out-sourced call.

Said they're from State of California business development office asking to confirm my business address (with info from 5 years ago) and asking about relocation.  Simple "no" answers to their questions ended the call.

We got a call from this number claiming they were calling from the state of Oregon.  They asked if we were still looking for a new location to move to.  The call ended abruptly when we told them we have already moved.

Woman stated she was calling from the Illinois Business Development Office of the Economic Department asking if we are considering moving or staying in our specific town.  She was calling all the businesses in our town to see if they are staying or leaving for the 2014 year.  When I asked her if I could return HER call, she hung up.

Was called and told they were calling for WA office of development asking about our intentions to relocate.

I explained I could not verify who they are and would not answer any questions over the phone but if they could give me a phone number or a website or mail something I may call back.

He hung up.

I got same  call this morning

I got a similar call but have had them in the past and just cut the guy off. I actually looked for a website by the name of State of Illinois Business Development office and found one with the ".net" extenstion (rather than .gov). It appears legit initially, even has the governor's name on it, but it also had a big ad about relocation services off to the right.

It is so annoying to have my work day interrupted with these types of calls... What a con job.

called and leave no message. We are Canadian, like we need something from IL ???

We just got one and the lady had such an accent that she was almost impossible to understand.  Got the TX Business Development con, and I said that we were never looking and she has false information.  I didn't say another thing, she said "oh" and hung up.

I could tell right away that it was a sales type call when the caller first began speaking. I asked him what he was selling... "what?" he said... I repeated, Are you selling something? reply - No, and then he hung up. lol

He said he was calling from Minneapolis.  He did not soudna native to me.  He asked if I was still at address xyz.  I told him that business closed and he had called a residence.  He hung up.

Just received a call from this number asking about business development and updating data for the Minnesota Business something or other. Their questions seemed strange. Sounded like an Indian accent.

Called three times today.  Now blowing into the phone and making noises... I have repeatedly told them not to call.,  As we can all see, DO NOT CALL LIST IS A JOKE!!

Relentless phone calls during business hours

This number is calling my home. Trying to figure out what they want & where they are calling from. They wont stop calling. Looks international.

Googled and got this website to show up.  Seeing that I'm in Vancouver, Canada, and this number represents all different states, it could be well considered spam.

Same here, got this call today. said they were from the Gov't of Ontario National Statistics Office (which doesn't exist), Department of Economics (which doesn't exist). If these scammers were trying to get into Canada, at least get the facts right.

Got 2 calls from this number this morning, within an hour, 1 man, 1 woman.  They each asked different questions but were clearly "phishing"... the first one wanted to verify our address, I said I could not give out or verify any information over the phone, and they insisted they were from the state -- I resisted and he hung up.  Then a woman called asking if our business was still considering relocation, had considered it, or decided not to consider it... I've gotten many calls from them so I was frustrated and started to ask them to PLEASE NOT CALL AGAIN and the woman hung up.
