- Jay| 2 repliesThey called my parents (elderly) and stated that they were calling because of Microsoft and that the computer had a virus. They wanted my mother to go to a website and allow them to connect to their computer. She called me while they were on the line - my first comment they are Microsoft calling you about a virus, no way. Which is correct, they are Geek Support Live, 67 Cottage Street, Enfield, CT 06082. I am guessing they were trying to connect to the computer to tell my mother that she had a problem and then ask for a ccard number.
First of all - Microsoft does NOT contact customers if you have a virus. And I highly doubt my parents have a virus on their computer, I clean it periodically.
The BBB in connecticut lists this company with a C rating - but the BBB is not crediable either. I have seen first hand were they give companys A ratings that should have F.- Caller: Geek Support Live
- AutimnWe have received numerious calls from them about our computer having a virus-had to tell them to stop calling-number comes up as unavailable.
- Steven SanFilippotold me I had a virus, they where from Microsoft , wanted to connect to my computer. that there computer got a message from mine. lol ,wow . the number that showed up on my phone was 16661800 the number they told me when I asked was 8882145887 which is obvious not there number. they sounded like the India callers. Same accent.

- bekka replies to JayThey have called me about 6 times and asked me to go to www.geeksupportlive.com and that is as far as I got because I called best buy geek squad on my other phone and they said they never initiate a call....Just hung up but wonder if they were able to get anything.
- PatReceived two calls from 1 888 214-5887, number showed up on my caller id as Private Caller. Caller's name was Mick, sounded like he was from India. Identified himself as being from Geek Tech, said his company is associated with Microsoft. Said that someone was attempting to remote access my computer. Asked me to turn on my computer. Didn't want to do this, requested his name and call back number and said I would call back. I checked the internet for Microsoft Tech affiliates and couldn't find this 888 number or a listing for Geek Tech. Tech Support for Microsoft is listed as just that; Microsoft Tech Support, there are 888, 855 & 800 numbers but, again no 888 214-5887. Sounds like an attempt to 'hack' computers.

- KL New YorkMike called said he was Geek Tech Support an affiliate from Microsoft and that someone was downloading viruses to my computer and that I need to sign on to my computer so he can help fix the problem.

- fishermanReceived a dead call from 860-464-7922. Looked it up and found scam warnings. Next day received a second call from same number and got an Indian accent. He stated that he represented Geek Support Live and that I had a computer problem. I asked where he was from and he stated Enfield CT at Suite 8 21 Pearl St. I asked why he was using a Ledyard CT phone number. Said he had an Enfield number but the area code was 855, which is not CT. Very insistent wanting to check out my computer. Hung up. He called back twice. Finally he got the message and for now has stopped calling.

- Kerry SalernoMy parents recieved a call and unfortunately my dad paid for a new computer with them. It's a scam and we will be reporting to the police, BBB and at ic3.com.

- KarenJust got yet another call from Geek Support Live. I have asked them repeatedly not to call again, but they continue to do so (on my home and cell phones). What I find curious is that the calls started a few days after I purchased a new laptop and had to call Microsoft support to install Office. The Microsoft tech had to remote in to my computer to get the software loaded. Hmmmmm, did they do something else to my computer or is Microsoft contracting with a company that has another branch that operates a huge scam?!!!!!
