I just want to know who called me since it was my cell phone number

Someone at this number calls multiple times per day, at various times.  I called the number back, but got a recording.  I was never connected to a real person, the recording just kept playing over and over again.  They never give the name of the company.  

Next time they call I am going to answer, but I'm just going to repeat over and over what their recording said:

"Hello.  Speaking to you is important to us.  Pleasee remain on the line and an agent will be with you as soon as possible."

well i called it back...got a please hold message and then it went to a man named jon with an inbound call center and when i asked what it was in reference too he said i applied to an online college and they wanted to talk with me. Yes i did ask for information- he then transferred me a counsleor who i requested she mail me information about the program and within minutes i had an email with information.
i think they just filter the calls and then send you to the next person....

I get random calls throughout the day from the same number, the times are random at most. Each time I call back, all I get is this recording "Hello, and thank you for calling this number. Our offices are closed at the moment. Please pick a number from our provided selection" and then a dead tone. Never have I actually gotten a hold of anyone.

Called me twice, and when I called them back, it was a college recruiter.

I received a voicemail where after a pause the lady said, "Feels like I'm burning from the inside out.  SH#T."

Called back and asked what agency is calling my phone.  Replied that it's a college online recruiting/directory out of St. Louis.  I dislike being called several times a week!  I politely asked to please remove my number from their call list.  She said "okay," and I said, "Thank you I appreciate it."  Be direct and polite, and we'll see if they comply.

Always get calls from these people! I dont usually answer numbers that look like they could be telemarketers.  Thanks to all for sharing your experience, next tme I will call and ask to be removed from the list.

They keep calling me but I don't answer any number I don't know. I just ignore it, but I really want to block the number so they can't call me.

debt collector
